So apparently this doesn't exist yet, or at least I can't find it... So what's your favorite anime of all time, it can be based on anything really. Just the one you see as your favorite. For me it's Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, it's just crazy and over the top, dumb fun and I love it so much xD
I have a lot... but I’d automatically recommend My Hero Academia, Hibike! Euphonium, and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun.
Shingeki No Kyojin/Attack on Titan is my favourite. I love the setting, characters, and plot. I'm also a fan of Ouran Highschool Host Club, and Last Exile. The former because it's funny and was the first anime I ever watched, and the latter because of the story and it's Steampunk/Dieselpunk setting.
Err probably Noragami and Soul Eater. Bleach has a special place in my heart too since its the first anime I ever watched.
Sailor Moon holds a special spot in my heart as the first anime-related thing I ever learned of (besides Pokémon, but at that time I only considered it a game), although it was only 4 years ago that I watched the original Sailor Moon anime. My Hero Academia, Jojo's Bizarre Adventures (namely Part 4, Diamond is Unbreakable), Ouran Highschool Host Club, and One Punch Man are some of my favorites
maybe anohana? i cried a lot during that one :”) madomagi was great too hehe! if anime movies are counted, then kimi no na wa, koe no katachi, and 5cm per second !!
Kino no Tabi. The old version, I cant speak for the 2017 version as I have still not caught up with it. Another vote for anohana too. ;n; I have others but as soon as I'm asked this question my mind just goes blank haha!
Your asking me to choose?! I call cruel and unusual punishment! There's a lot of anime I love, so much so that I can hardly pick. My favorites change all the time. Right now, my favorite is Stein's Gate. A brilliantly written and sad time travel story with a happy ending. You generally don't see this kind of story in animation and its a real shame. The only one I can think that comes close is doctor who, but even that's underwhelming in comparison.
I have a handful of animes that I like so I'll just list them out with their respective reasons: Gundam Wing: Realistic politics with fighting robots, coups, external invasions, but even with all of that it has a happy ending Zoids: an amazing story with the world ending Zoids trying to end the world, and an enemy that the main character can only beat one time throughout the whole series. The Original Pokémon: each battle was unique and we watched Ash grow from not even knowing how to battle to be one of the best in his region, though they seemed to make Ash have to regrow with the newer anime series, so that is why I loved the original rather than the new ones. Digimon: A cousin of Pokémon, except the Digimon grow as their bond with a human grows, and they actually knew where to stop the series with a set of characters. But that aside, you don't have the creatures just saying their name as their way of communicating, the Digimon are actually able to talk to their partner and that makes the bond that is talked about in both Pokémon and Digimon more real.
Either Soul Eater, because it's fun, the characters are a joy, and it's just a very enjoyable experience, or Steins;Gate because it's just really cool and interesting.
Heh, I've only even heard of half of these. I need to step up my otaku game. My favorite is a short, 12.5 episode manga called Hai to Gensou no Grimgar. It's so artistic, so tactile, so honest and heavy and simple and complex and real the whole way through, it's mostly painted in watercolors and the voice acting is amazing in Japanese and in English. Twice it almost reduced me to tears. Well, twice each time I've watched the entire series, so, like, eight times? It never gets easier. I'll also throw an honorable mention to My Hero Academia (though I've only seen the first season) and Samurai Champloo.
Konosuba, Gabriel Dropout, and Umaru are pretty up there for me. Anime that can make me laugh a lot get extra points compared to other anime that are just "enjoyable" to watch.
My all time fav anime is Kamisama Kiss. Its so cute, funny, with pretty characters and a great plot!! You should watch this anime if you haven't yet. Spoiler: Kamisama Kiss
I have three anime that come to my mind. Digimon (seasons 1, and 3). I grew up watching Digimon more than I did Pokémon, so it holds a special place in my heart. I love all of these characters, and I've just come to appreciate the characters that I didn't enjoy as much when I was a kid. I don't care if some people say that it's just a ripoff of Pokémon, because it's not. The two of them are completely different, and I love them both for completely different reasons. Soul Eater. I love the creepy and yet humorous atmosphere. The concept and characters are so unique, and it's just a fun and surreal show to watch. And finally, Detective Conan/Case Closed. My whole family got hooked on this show about ten years ago, and we still love it. I like crime solving shows, and this was the first anime that I watched that fell into that genre. And the fact that the crime solver was a sixteen year old in a child's body was just fun.
Hands down, Cory in the House. Jkjkjk I really enjoyed Anohana and uh... Brother's Conflict but we don't talk about that.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter (2011), and Saiki Kusuo Psi-nan. These series are all amazing and my life. HxH is my #1 though, very closely followed by FMA Brotherhood and then Saiki. Saiki is amazing if you're into the comedy genre while the action, pacing, and writing overall in FMA were perfection (not to mention the many emotions it makes you feel). HxH is a masterpiece for many reasons. Only thing I didn't like was the pacing of the Chimera Ant arc, but even then, it was very very lovely.
Code Geass for the awesomeness, Toradora! for the feels, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for the everything. Part 5 hype!
