Most of us here have owned multiple gaming consoles throughout our lifetime, and there was always that one console that stood out the most for whatever reason.
This was the console you couldn't wait to come home and play every day after school because all of your favorite games were on it.
What was/is your favorite gaming console?

For me, it's a pretty tough choice, but in the end it doesn't even matter, I'd say it was the PlayStation 2.
The PlayStation 2 isn't where I started gaming, but rather where gaming struck me the most. The PS2 had so many amazingly fun games, and it was because of this console that I was able to play and enjoy my favorite game of all time, Kingdom Hearts.

Of course, Kingdom Hearts wasn't the only game I loved playing on the PS2. There was also Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Ratchet: Deadlocked, multiple Naruto games, multiple DBZ games, and so on. All these games were simply awesome to me as a child, and I'll remember them and the experiences they gave me for a very long while.

I regret selling my PS2 and all of my games when buying an Xbox 360. I didn't think it through at the time, and now when I think back at it, it wasn't worth it at all. But that doesn't mean I don't love my Xbox though. Xbox is where I was brought together with friends and met super great people, some of which I'm still friends with today. Xbox Live has brought me unforgettable experiences, some of which were just as good or even better than my PS2 memories.on

My favourite consoles will always be Nintendo. Right now, the Wii U and the New Nintendo 3DS are my favourite. I love them most of all because they come from the best gaming company, Nintendo (who wouldn't agree?). Nintendo produces games with meaningful stories, amazing characters, beautiful game play and much more which I do not see in other gaming company. There is not a single Nintendo game that was a disappointment.

About the Wii U, the graphics (on the television screen) can be really amazing, most of which I find better than cinema quality, such as the introduction videos on the Super Smash Brothers 4 videos and Hyrule Warriors cut-scenes. I'm sure there are many more games, but these are ones I can remember. Also, the games on the Wii U are incredible and fun - games such as Pokken Tournament, Zelda Wii U, Super Smash Brothers, Mario Brothers U and many more. The Wii U game pad offers many options, and it's as if you're holding a big Nintendo DS! There are many functions which I find really useful, such as who's online (out of your friends) and the variety of mechanics.

The New Nintendo 3DS is my favourite handheld. I always loved the idea of a 3D console, and Nintendo has perfected this. It's not only unique, but original, and I'm pretty sure Nintendo is the only one who can use this idea in handhelds perfectly. The New Nintendo 3DS offers better quality graphics, a wider screen, a smaller circle pad, enhanced 3D, and cover plates! What's also amazing with all 3DS' is that you can customize them with themes! The games on the 3DS are amazing too, just as amazing as the ones on Wii U!

Furthermore, creating a Nintendo account on both consoles is fairly easy, much easier than on Xbox (because I struggled to make an Xbox Live account, I don't use the Xbox anymore), but that is probably just my experience.

I'm torn between the N64 and the PS2 as my favorite, with SNES and GBA in 3rd and 4th.

N64 was... come on! How could you not be excited! So many of its games were solid gold. Super Mario 64, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, the N64 Zeldas, Kirby 64, Smash Bros 1, Mario Kart, F-Zero, Extreme G 2. Almost every game on N64 was perfection. The controller was wack, but everything else was great.

PS2 was similar, but not every game was perfect. I have plenty of good memories on that: Ratchet and Clank, Midnight Club, Kingdom Hearts, FF 10 and 12, a few others that don't come to mind and apparently aren't good enough to remember.

SNES and GBA also have their honorable mentions. SNES had Donkey Kong Country and Mega Man X, and GBA had a bunch of great games I played multiplayer at school a lot. I'm talking Mario Kart Advance, Pokémon RSEFRLG, Kirby's Amazing Mirror.

Those four systems together kept me busy for years on end, and it's too hard to choose a #1. I still have all of them but the SNES, and they can be plugged in to be playable with two minutes notice.

The only consoles that I've had are Xbox 360, DS Lite and 3DS XL. I'll rule out Xbox 360 because I hardly used it and all, its more like my siblings' property, as for the 3DS I haven't played it as much as I have with the DS Lite. So the DS Lite would be my current fave, only because it holds a huge load of memories for me, it was my first ever console that I ever owned and I've played a heap of games on it, most of them Pokémon but also Sonic and Mario Kart. The day the 3DS becomes my fave is when I've played more games than I did on the DS Lite, which isn't going to happen for a while unfortunately.

Favorite console has to be the PS3. That's the time when i really got into gaming and JRPG's. and without it, there'd be so many games that I wouldn't have played, and spent hours grinding over.

This is a tough one. My favorite games like Pokémon, Mario Kart and Fire Emblem are all on 3DS and Wii U and both are getting some new killer games soon, but I have such a large library of great games on my PC... The Wii U is okay, but not as powerful and fun to play as the 3DS to me, so it's between PC and 3DS. Alright, I'll go with the 3DS because it can also play DS games and it has Pokémon. Still, I don't know what I'd do if I could never play on my computer anymore >_>

For me it's the 3DS and Wii U. They've got a lot of games that I love on them and I can play all of my Wii and DS games on them as well. Games like Xenoblade X, Smash 4, Fire Emblem, Pokémon, etc. are on these systems and I play them a lot.

The 3DS for sure! I'm a huge fan of handheld consoles because they are so easy to use. I love to be able to play everywhere I like, something I can't do with our Wii or our Xbox. Plus: I'm more into the games in the Nintendo genre than other platforms, because I'm a casual gamer, not one who likes shooting games and stuff like that.

I would love to be classy and say something like the N64 or the PS2, but I'm going to go with the Nintendo 3ds, simply because of the amazing game library. There are so many remarkable titles on the 3ds, and not every system has as many good titles such as Super Smash Bros., Phoenix Wright 5, Fire Emblem Awakening, Kid Icarus Uprising, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Pokémon ORAS, Pokémon X&Y, and Bravely Default. I love the new features that they improved upon with the 3ds over the dsi, and the 3d slider is neat, also the face-tracking 3d is amazing. No other system has as many things that I like about, so I love this one the best.
