Your IGN Story

Well my name is "mweep", forever and always, unless I use the Pokespe protagonist name. But mweep derived from 6th grade science, completely randomly, when someone said something and it sounded cool but I misheard it, and wrote mweep in lowercase on the board, neatly, and underlined it, intersecting the p at it's stem. And so my tag/handle/ign-name/username was born.

 

I picked my own name up through Pearl, but HGSS and beyond I picked alternate names. In B2 I'm like Enzo or something and in AlphaSapphire I'm Law. Lately, I've been choosing the name of the most self-relateable male character from the most recent story I've done. For this reason, when Z comes out I'll probably be "Cross", unless I pick a new name for the main of my next FF. But that's the order it goes in: I don't name my fiction characters after my IGN, my IGN is named after my characters.

 

I usually use the names "Eris" or "Jade" as my IGN. Both of them I don't really have reasons for, they're just short, easy to remember names that I thought were kinda cool. I usually pick a short name for in games, or a really silly one, depending on what tone I want my playthrough to have.

 

For the first time I play through a game, I always always always name my character Ghost. This is just my default name when playing video games in general. After completing a runthrough, usually I'll name the character after the game, Pokémon Adventures-style.

 

e first time I played Fire Red, I named the trainer after myself, This was great and all, but I ended up feeling Like I had messed up, so I restarted, I decided to change everything, so I played as a female, which meant switching my name to a Female variet, and thus was born the tradition that every first playthrough I play as Destiny, Only broken in X because of Online stuff. After that it's whatever name I fancy at the time, or one for a theme. So like one time it was Chromo, and I named all my Pokémon colors. Another time it was Cam and it was just because.

 

I use my first name as my IGN, always (except for Zelda games). Though with my first game, I didn't realized there were lower caps until aboit halfway through the game... So I was doomed to have my name in caps lock.

 

I just put my name, Nate.

I always use Daantje. Honestly, I have no idea how I ever ended up on that name, but I use it all the time. On my second run through a game, I'm more likely to choose a different name though. That name often turns out to be Doctor, Megarai or my own name.
