I am an Aries, born in early April. I don't really care too much about zodiac signs, and even less about horoscopes and whatnot, I find them to be nothing but bologna (wow I haven't spelled out that word in a while... it's weird.)

 

I'm a Pisces, and most stereotypes about them are true to me. Overly emotional, artsy, two fish, etc.

I think a lot about zodiacs is that people relate to them in a way that horoscopes are either incredibly vague or people find some aspect of themself to say "yeah that's true". Nevertheless, zodiac signs are extremely interesting.

To answer the question, my Zodiac sign is that of the Dragon (well, fancy that), but as for whether I am one of Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, or Metal, I will let you guess for yourselves. I'll give you a hint, though: it's not Water.

 

I don't wish to confirm guesses as I do not wish to share details such as my age, though I'll give you some numbers to digest.

Wood would mean my birth year is 1964-5,
Fire would mean my birth year is 1976-7,
Earth would mean my birth year is 1988-9,
Metal would mean my birth year is 2000-1,
and I've already said before I'm not Water.

I'll let you decide which one is the most likely. I do prefer the Eastern zodiac to the Western one, though, as I like the additional facet of the elemental distinctions.

 

I thought you would know the years in question, yes. I'm just leaving the puzzle to anyone else who is willing to try, and doesn't feel like looking the numbers up or doing the math. I'm glad your interest in the Eastern zodiac surpasses even mine.

 

I don't really follow horoscopes, but I read them from time to time just to see what they say. I'm a scorpio, and I love what every more emotional and psychological say about us but the way we are portrayed in images always makes me mad. Most images show a goth or emo character, which is completely opposite of myself.

 

I was born in mid September, so I have the manliest of the star signs. That's right, I've got Virgo. I don't exactly read and follow horoscopes, but i have looked up what it says about Virgo before for various reasons and most of the time, I do like what it says. I try and help others as much as possible, which usually fits into what horoscopes have to say about Virgo and I do love all kinds of sapphires, so that's also a bonus for me. So yeah, Virgo FTW

Aries are fire signs and those born under this element are regarded in astrology as adventurous, active and outgoing. Gemini's Secret Desire: To be ahead of the crowd

In ancient Greek mythology, Gemini's ruler - Mercury, was the light-footed messenger of the gods who darted back and forth across the heavens delivering news - which might explain why those born under the sign of the 'Twins' are always on the move; thirsty for knowledge and new experiences. Terminally curious and sometimes even mischievous, Geminis are multi-faceted souls who enjoy knowing a little bit of everything but generally not too much about one particular subject. It's just that variety is the spice of their lives!

In Astrology, Geminis have also gained the reputation of being the incessant talkers of the zodiac. Those Twins that don't have the 'gift of the gab' are usually talented writers or have a special interest in foreign languages. In love, they look for a partner who can keep up with them mentally and physically! And, to quote Oscar Wilde, "there's one thing worse than people talking about you, that's people not talking about you." Whether Geminis like it or not, people are usually "talking about them". Together with Scorpio and Virgos, they are a sign that is often discussed, dissected and sometimes even put down by the other signs of the zodiac. Sometimes this is a subtle form of jealousy by others, because Geminis do lead very unique and unusual lives. The Gemini personality can appear mysterious or detached to others and therefore they are often misunderstood and unappreciated for the talents they offer to the world at large.

Another reason Geminis evoke so much interest is many born under this sign are multi-dimensionally talented. In money matters, some Geminis are very adept and quick at making it...and spending it too. Many Geminis are involved in international financial wheeling and dealing. They love the adventure and game playing involved in out-thinking other people. Gemini's can be very haphazard about their financial affairs too, with many of them ending up in divorce courts mainly because their partners have become tired of living on the edge of a financial precipice.

I agree with this to an extent. Most Gemini descriptions I strongly disagree with, mostly because they have to deal with an interest in gossip or talking a lot and having an interest in romance, and I do not have any of those traits. This one, though, I can agree with in places. I love trying and doing new things, I am very interesting in writing and in learning foreign languages, and I love trying to out-think others.

My largest points of contention are in the habit of incessant speech and in the want for others to be talking about oneself. I am more often than not the listener in any group of friends I've had, and in that role have sometimes been so quiet that some of my classmates didn't even know what my voice sounded like. I also actually dislike being talked about, it's rather uncomfortable for me to have a lot of attention whether I deserved it or not.

Mostly I think horoscopes are a lot of bs and cop out statements. I rarely find any that match my personality or actions, and most Gemini horoscopes I see end up annoying me more than anything.

 

I'm an Aquarius, born in January, and according to the Chinese Zodiac, I'm born in the year of the rooster. I'm not into Zodiacs and all that stuff though, so that's as far as I'll go.

 

They are, actually. A lot of horoscopes written are generic umbrella statements that can apply to a very large percentage of people, and use a lot of words without really saying or claiming anything.

I knew a person who would exploit this notoriously. He would pull out a newspaper (or other horoscope collection), and ask for a person's Zodiac sign. He would then read the horoscope, wait for the person to say "Oh my gosh, that is totally me," and then reveal he was reading from a completely different sign.

The moral of the story is that if you know anyone who really buys into horoscopes and whatnot, this is an excellent prank.
