    Back in June, YouTube announced YouTube Gaming, a brand new app and website to keep you connected to the games, players, and culture that matter to you, with videos, live streams, and the biggest community of gamer's on the web-all in one place.

    If ya'll didn't know, today Youtube Gaming lauched. Now Youtube gaming is a more gaming-focused app that's supposed to compete with Twitch's gaming platform. Just like regular Youtube, you can see comments on the side, give a streamer a thumbs-up or thumbs-down, and subscribe to their work. The actual live stream pages look very similar to the layout of Twitch TV, minus the widget stuff.

    Anyhow, what are your thoughts and impressions of Youtube Gaming? How often do you think you'll check out youtube gaming? Do you think it can compete with Twitch? Let us know, and feel free to share anything you like and dislike about the platform as well as any other thoughts regarding it! Like always, feel free to discuss!

    Bring in console support for it soon and I'd use it in a heartbeat. I like my current set-up for streaming, but something more Twitch-like with Youtube's archival appeal would be quite enticing. Yeee I'm still salty over Twitch fudging up stream archiving. w/e.
