What video game, or video game(s) did you spend the most time on? Why did you spend the most game time on those sorts of video games?

Pokémon is probably the best candidate for this, and even though I've spent a lot of time on Zelda games as well, I'm pretty certain that my total playtime for all the Pokémon games I've played, add up to waay more than I've ever spent on my Zelda games, even though I own more of those. And the reason for that should be pretty easy to figure out~ <33

The fun in those games mostly lie in the main story, and while progressing through the game, and once you've finished the game, there's just not a whole lot left to do. I mean, of course you could do side-quests, gather all the heart pieces, bottles, etc., but it just doesn't really compare to what Pokémon gives us, and whereas I could easily start over with Pokémon instantly after beating it, and most of the time still enjoy it again because of how every playthrough can differ from the last, I usually can't play a Zelda game twice in a row without getting bored rather quickly during the second playthrough.

Pokémon! It's actually one of the only game franchises I can spend more than two hours playing at a time. Anything else I want to put down after 30 minutes to one hour since it becomes draining and I stop being able to focus. :( Rune Factory 4 was another addicting game that I played for literally the entire day when I'd just gotten it ahahah.. it was so good. I would wake up and play from day to night and only stop to eat and sleep. That's just how addicting it was. <3

Pokémon and any Yugioh game that I own, especially this one handheld GBA game I had. Sadly the save got corrupted somehow...and I lost quite a bit of progress, so that put me off playing that particular game for a while. I can't rightly say what games would come next, but handhelds certainly have the edge in terms of time invested.

I think my 3 most time consuming games were Skyrim, Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed. There was some days where I played 10 hours minimum with one or two short breaks, the main reason is I completely investigate myself when a game pleases me, it could be on history, gameplay, it doesn't really matter. :) Pokémon too, of course.

Pokémon or Animal Crossing. I go kinda crazy with the latter one and spend literally hours on it at a time. I've got an incredibly high total playtime for Animal Crossing, exceeding 1,400 hours.

Definitely Pokémon, as its only one of the few RPGs I actually play. With Pokémon you can spend endless hours perfecting your team and discovering all Pokémon. There is always lots to do in Pokémon games and even after you become a champion there is always more to do and discover. If you truly dedicate yourself to Pokémon, you can find yourself spending an eternity trying to get everything the games have to offer. There are so many Pokémon to discover, moves to teach, levels to train, trainers to battle, shinies to catch or hatch, and glitches to experiment with. Filling out the Pokédex completely and Beating the champion take a lot of time, but its really the post game that lets you really lose track of time and keep on playing for hours on end.

Pokémon for sure. No other games even come close. I'm fairly sure that Omega Ruby is the game that I've put the most time into, which is around 120 hours if memory serves. I don't know why I spend so much time on Pokémon, but it's just so good. <3

My runner up would probably be the Jak series. Mostly because it takes a long time for me to play through them (I tend to die a lot :() and I've replayed them so many times.

I spent the most time playing Sim City 2013, there are so many different types of cities that you can build that I wnated to see what I could come up with. I also really enjoy the city building aspect.

The Golden Sun series, definitely. Every so often I make it a ritual to play through the whole series over again, from a fresh save, progressing through each of the 3 games. I've lost count of how many times I've done this, but it is always wonderful every time.

I spent the entire night yesterday playing Pikmin 3, only stopping when I got too frustrated with a certain mission to continue. Any of the games in that series can keep me engrossed for a long time, along with Animal Crossing on some days. Sonic Adventure 2 is my third choice with the pretty crazy amount of hours I've racked up on just the Chao Gardens alone.

Bravely Default is definitely a game that I can't put down. Fire Emblem Awakening is also a worthy cantidate. When I start playing, it's really hard to get me to stop because I frankly really DO NOT want to stop. Ever. Video Games are my ultimate getaway and I love them.

Any and every Pokémon game, the new game BoxBoy, every Smash game, and every Kingdom Hearts game.

All these suck lifeforce from me in exchange for hours upon hours of entertainment... And I let them :D

Pokémon, Skyrim, and Skate 3! I played Pokémon X so much when I got it, completing it in only a week. I remember staying up until 1 am playing Skyrim (which is pretty late for me) on a call with a friend, and it barely got old. I also can play Skate 3 for hours on end, just doing tricks and stuff. When I was littler, I played Lego Batman 2 with a friend at his house for hours and hours as well.

I love the series too much, and I've done way too many side quests.

Pokémon and Harvest Moon MFoMT! I've recently been playing a lot of the latter, it's one of my childhood games. In fact, I found Pokémon through that game.

Pokémon, of course. Ace Attorney and most recently, Zelda takes the cake. All of those games are simply amazing and, as hard as you try, just cannot be put down. I've been making an effort not to start any new games at the moment to focus more attention towards studying and other stuff though.

Skill grinding on Awakening has lost me many hours of my life. Estimating every file I've done this for, I reckon I'd easily hit 500 hours+. My Animal Crossing NL playtime also hit 300 hours recently, and I'd only had it a year.

Looks like we all spend too much time on Pokémon. I'm right in there too. My Alpha Sapphire is at about 150 hours, so when you add that to 2 DS games, 4 GBA games, and 3GB games of probably similar logged hours, it paints a picture.

Second to that is Bethesda RPGs collectively (In my case, FO3, FNV, and TESV). I back up my save files and make a new folder with a new save for them quite frequently, so it would be very hard to get a solid figure. But I've done at least 4 mostly-complete playthroughs of the Fallouts; and Skyrim I've made at least 10 characters that got 20 hours of attention, and 5 more that got 60+.
