Greetings, Valourians! My name is Eclipse, and today I approach you with not just any post, but an interview. Many of you are already used to the Staff Interviews and MOTM Interviews, but now I'd like to add one more type into the mix. (Don't worry - the other interviews will still be happening as planned.)

It's not just the staff and the (current) Members Of The Month that make Valor what it is today, and I'd like to show that with what I'm tentatively calling Prominent Member Interviews. As the name suggests, every so often we'll be interviewing a well-known member of the community in very similar fashion to how we interview the staff and MOTMs. (Sometimes one will have been MOTM at some point in the past.) In so doing, you and I will get to know more about other members that help form Valor's collective backbone.

I aim to have these interviews on a sort of cycle, so my tentative plan is to alternate between a Staff interview, then a Prominent Member interview, then back again, and so on. (The MOTMs will be happening at their usual times, separate from this cycle.)

For the first Prominent Member Interview, I'll be interviewing @[member="BiohazardSr"] - most of us know him fairly well, but how well? A rather ever-present face around Lake Valor, I will be interviewing him.
(And while this could double as a birthday present, I didn't know when his birthday was when I was planning this. It's a neat coincidence, though.)

Questions asked by Eclipse, the interviewer, will be in this colour.
Answers given by BiohazardSr, the interviewee, will be in this colour.

    ::::

Let's begin with an introduction. Who are you, and can you tell the audience a little bit about yourself?
Hullo! My name is BiohazardSr. I am in charge of the Lake Valor Social Crew's Facebook page.

How did you come up with your username? I'm sure there's an interesting tale behind it.
Funny enough there really isn't. I made a cool emblem in COD Black Ops once, and so I made a name behind it. I still use that symbol, it's a black biohazard sign with a red six pointed shuriken behind it.

What initially brought you to Lake Valor? But beyond that, what made you stay at Lake Valor?
The reason I came would be because of the lovely Shiny and Madness. They had been talking about it a lot, and so I grew curious. What finally put me over the edge was the fact that I couldn't read Shiny's fic without logging in for some reason. So I made an account. What kept me here were two things. One I felt a little obligated to. And secondly was it felt nice to. I found my niche and met some friends here.

What's your favourite part about Lake Valor, and why?
I think my favorite part is the people. If you just stop and take a look once and a while you'll see just how diverse this place is. We got dudes from Brazil, Egypt, 'Murica, and soooo many other places. Every living person here has a unique story to tell, and I want to hear them all.

What did you first expect (or feel) when I approached you for an interview?
I felt rather happy about it. Not because I'm getting interviewed, but because of the reason why I'm being interviewed. You said that you'd like to interview members more often, which makes me thrilled to see. Lake Valor is a living, unified organism made up of multiple parts that all help keep it running. Everyone is important, and I feel like this helps show others they are needed.

Can you think of 3 to 5 adjectives you would use to describe yourself?
Joking, kind, and uh... calm? While I do get angry, it's been described as not as a explosion, but a boil-over.

How do you want people to think of you, or remember you?
I want people to know I'm the kind of guy who always has an ear if you have a story to tell, and a mouth to tell my own.

Do you have any people (either here at Lake Valor or outside) that you like, respect, look up to, or otherwise admire? If so, why do you admire those people? (You can mention as many or as few people as you wish.)
(This may get a little sappy and/or cheesy) I have a very close group of friends. They would be (I'm using their online personas) Shiny, Madness, IronSmith, Jiro, Bitterman, Volante, and Ray. (Okay the last one was a real name.) These guys are probably my first true friends I've ever made. They didn't use my naiveness to take advantage of me. They are patient. They have made me into who I am today. They have seen me at my worst, and I've seen them at theirs. Also they're a bunch of scrubs.

How did you meet these friends?
Well it's a funny story really. It was roughly maybe two and a half years ago. I was still in Hawaii at the time. There's a place on base called the teen center. It's where all the teens can hang out. Go figure.
Anyway, I was going there for a while beforehand, but left because it was boring at the time. I was gone for about a year until finally my mother said 'get off your ass and go back'. Reluctantly I did. I went there and decided to play some vid games. I noticed they had the new Batman games and decided to play a bit - which is a good thing I did, because a few minutes later Ironsmith and his girlfriend walked into the door and sat next to me. We went on for a while talking about Batman stuff and cool villains. Wanting to keep this up I started to follow them around, a bit like a lost puppy admittedly. The next day I came in and wanted to talk to him, but he was going into a leadership club meeting called Keystone. I again followed him in there and became a member. This was how I met everyone else. And that's how the journey began.

    (TL;DR: Thanks Batman)

I think those are all the questions I need to ask right now. It's been a pleasure to interview you, and I hope this helps the Lake to get to know you a little better. Do you have anything else you'd like to say before we bring this to a close?
Well now I gotta say something or else I look like a shmuck. Hmmm... something wise? "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." No too edgy. Something funny? Nah I'm not creative enough. Hmmm.... I know!

    I lost the game

And with that, this Prominent Member Interview draws to a close! I hope you learned as much about BiohazardSr as I did - much of this is entirely new to me, as I'm sure it is to many of you. My goal is for this interview to be as fun for you to read as it was for me to write, and if I've accomplished that, then that's good enough for me.

See you all again soon, at the next interview!

This concept is really great, Eclipse! It adds in some diversity and your focus with these interviews - interviewing prominent members and thus placing them in the spotlight a bit - is a good one, because our members sure deserve this kind of attention!
Keep up the great work, this interview was a lot of fun to read!

I rate this interview 9/10 - not enough haikus
