Can anyone tell me which was the 1st Pokémon ever created? I know the answer and want to see if anyone can guess
Rhydon was the first one designed, so they say, from way back in the day when it was Capsule Monsters.
Lore wise you can add either Mew or Arceus to that, but yeah development wise the first one was definitely Rhydon xD
That's right, why do people instantly think pikachu, also they were once targeted to look more like dinosaurs, besides them actually now
Eh I guess people would think Pikachu cause Pikachu is and was the very first exposure to any Pokémon for plenty of folks. Gotta go mascot!
It's interesting how Rhydon is the first, so they must have made it's pre-evolution (Ryhorn) after, when I imagined them designing them in a more linear fashion, with evos coming second as a variation on the original.
Rhydon was the first drawn Bulbasaur is the first in the National Dex Arceus is the Creator of Every thing Mew is the Ancestor of all Pokémon
I'd say it was rhydon being the first Pokémon we know of being created. Ever Pokémon was entered into RG in the order that they were designed. The problem with this question is that we will never know because most of the first and earliest Pokémon either never had names or were scrapped because they didn't make the cut. If you look at early sketches many Pokémon also looked much different than any of the ones we had even back in the days of gen 1. So you have to beg the question: Do you mean in terms of what we have had since gen 1 or including the Pokémon that never made it through?
Jigglypuff was the original Red/Ash companion. There are a lot of first Pokémon though lore wise, Arceus or Mew are first.
Fun fact: The reason why the Gym Statue's at the beginning of a gym have a Rhydon depicted, is because it was the first Pokémon every designed. A small tribute, so to say.
