I think we're due to get Sinnoh remakes next. Here's why: -Data for two more games in Sun and Moon's files -Munchlax distribution similar to Torchic one at beginning of Gen 6 -Few Sinnoh Pokémon in Alola Pokédex -It's been ten years -Merchandise related to Sinnoh Pokémon in Japanese Pokémon Center stores -YouTube video on Japanese Pokémon channel with just Sinnoh Pokémon -The ROTOM Dex -Type: Null and Silvally are like Arceus (RKS System) So if you have more evidence, want to discuss possible features, or seek to disprove the remakes, post here.
Why gen4 remakes won't happen It's too early. You can still play the originals There may have been a lot of Gen4 characters in gen7 but they could only be found in the battle tree.
All I'll drop here: the order of the remakes. Kanto (Gen 1) - Gen 3 Johto (Gen 2)- Gen 4 Hoenn (Gen 3)- Gen 6 What comes after 3? Hmm...
4! Yes! I did it! On the not-so-stupid side of me, I really hope for Sinnoh remakes, because I'm ready to see Sinnoh in the 3D light! As for Mega Stones or Z Crystals, the Gen4 starters have neither of those. Maaaaaaaybe it's time for Torterra, Empoleon and Infernape to have their devastating attacks! And I'm sure I read somewhere that GF don't have plans to remake Gold and Silver anytime soon, so that makes me more ready for my (possible) re-adventure through Sinnoh!
it won't be soon I think. Maybe another year or two. it's gonna be really weird when in like 5 or 6 years when they remake sun and moon.
I have no doubts we'll be getting Sinnoh remakes, but I don't think it will be for a few years. I wouldn't be surprised if there's another main series game before Diamond and Pearl remakes. Although, I would love to have a remake, and another adventure through Sinnoh would be awesome.
I really want a sinnoh remake, though it doesn't have to be this year or anything, and while I technically can play the games on my 3ds, my pearl game I used to use has trouble reading (because I restarted too many times?) Plus they have refined some of the mechanics and I would be so happy if there were no HM's in the remakes, all the better.
I think we have a while to wait but I do think it is the next set of remakes to come. I can see another S/M game and then a remake, just because S/M was so big.
I wouldn't mind a Sinnoh remake, but I also kind of want another remake of Red and Green/Blue. You can't play those games anymore and I really want to see more development in Kanto.
I hadn't given it much thought until now, but I realised that maybe a potential motivation to do the gen 4 remake despite there being signs that they might not, is that (and this could be wrong, it's just my own observation) it would seem like the anime has had some kind of resurgence in popularity with a new generation of fans, and thus they would identify pretty strongly with the gen that was depicted and not necessarily have access to the game in its original form (or just want to see it updated to the newer 3d format that might seem more normal to them than pixel does the older crowd). It potentially provides a great target audience for it. Therefore, it makes little sense to the hardcore, older fans who've been there for the whole thing, but could be where a lot of others started at and feel nostalgic about.
I wouldn't mind Kanto again though. Well, you could play Red/Blue/Yellow on the GBA and FireRed/LeafGreen still came out.
There is an article circulating in existence, and it seemed to imply that since Alola region is based in Hawaii, some landmarks of the real location include Pearl Harbor and Diamond Head. These landmarks have been referenced to in Sun and Moon, which do appear on the official map. And of course, we know the Pokémon Co. loves to tease at future games, as seen when in DPPt, the Pokémon Center tiles were gold and silver. So, with the other potential hints others listed above, it seems well within reason to suspect a Gen IV remake.
It'll happen eventually. Remakes have become a pattern so it's really a matter of when it'll happen rather than if it'll happen. I don't have a link to the exact Tweet, but Masuda didn't deny the idea and almost seemed to hint that it'd happen eventually. Which I guess isn't really confirmation but it shows this a popular request that's been acknowledged and seems like it's in the works, or will be in the works. I'm excited! I spent soo much time playing DP when they first came out, and it was one of my peaks as a Pokémon fan. Nothing can beat playing through a new region for the first time but I'm excited thinking about how remakes will look in the future. n//n Maybe not this year though.. seems a bit recent given we got RS remakes last gen.. but maybe sometime in 2018-2019.
I would love to revisit Sinnoh. I actually haven't played the games in so long, because I just see the outdated mechanics and I am missing like 300 Pokémon that I would like to use to fight my way trough those familiar faces and just wreck them with a Galvantula or a Tsareena.
