This is kinda crazy as far as Nintendo is concerned. It was recently reported that the Nintendo Switch's controllers can be connected easily to PC using Bluetooth. Nintendo has never made it this easy to play PC games with their controllers in the past. What do you guys think of this? I think it's a really smart idea on Nintendo's part. I'm not sure how many people would get a Pro Controller just for PC gaming but it can't hurt.
Since it uses Bluetooth I wonder if you can also uses them for mobile games like Minecraft Pocket Edition.
It's weird. Maybe Nintendo is trying to signal that they understand that they are slowly fading away but with the release of the switch it just doesn't make sense.
@[member="Nate"] would you mind giving the link to the article you found this on? I haven't been able to find one relating to this topic yet. If Nintendo truly is allowing the Joy-Con combo to be used with PC, that will open the door to many developers wanting to test the Joy-Com technology for their own games. In theory, the Joy-Cons are supposed to be better versions of the Wii Remote, so developers should be wanting to jump on the technology. However, with a few articles I've read on the disappointment of the Joy-Con feel, I'm rather doubtful that the Switch controllers will get much love unless it's the Pro Controller. It'd be great if there was easy connection to PC as far as the Joy-Cons are concerned at least for the novelty, but I'm not convinced it will have much practical use for gaming or otherwise for a long time.
