This is the original thread I made about this: http://lakevalor.net/topic/14241-venelocke-another-type-of-nuzlocke/ It was an easier version of a Nuzlocke. I was thinking about it today, and decided that while it was not a bad idea, it needed fixed up, and changed so that it made Nuzlockes harder. The rules: - All standard Nuzlocke rules - Every Pokémon you catch in the wild is undead (if you want lore, Pokeballs now kill Pokémon, because they had too much free will before) - Up to you if gift Pokémon (such as your starter) are undead or normal Pokémon -Once per gym (after beating it), you can sacrifice one type of undead to make another a normal Pokémon Undead rules: After catching your encounter, flip a coin, roll a die, or whatever you want to use. Set up a 50/50 ratio, with one being zombie, and the other being ghost. Zombies: You can grind against wild Pokémon with these abominations (time for a feast), but they lack the brain capacity to learn new moves, so you are stuck with the original moveset Ghosts: These Pokémon have the capacity to learn new moves, from any source. But grinding with them is against the rules. They can only be leveled up in trainer battles Optional Rules: -Zombies can be taught physical HM moves, as that is basically just manual labor, with no thoughts -Zombies can learn new moves if it makes sense (like bite and slam, since zombies can do those) -Undead die after a certain number of levels (fading or rotting away) -Ghosts can be grinded against types they have STAB type advantage against (gaining energy from the fear) -Ghosts can switch out before the opposing Pokémon faints, but zombies can't If you have read this, I am issuing you a challenge to try this out. I probably will myself soon.
