So @Sethal told me to make a Q&A thread and I thought the section was actually pretty rad and original—never seen one of these in any other forum. So, yeah, I'll answer any question you throw my way I guess? Must be fun! . Me ready to answer some questions:
What did you think about the designs of the starters for Sun and Moon. Warning, I'm about to say MY opinion. Now, I'll be frank: I think they all sucked. I apologize if you like the sun and moon starters but I thought they really had nothing to do with Hawaii and in general just seemed poorly designed. I would have rather seen the starters as a Lava Snake, Another Shark, and Possibly a bird native to Hawaii.
That's an interesting question! Well, let's go one by one, though I feel like I won't say much hah. Rowlet: A round bird. It's cute, I'll give him that. I don't like it that much but I don't dislike it either. It's just... there. His evolutions don't get much better either, tbh. I don't really like the second one, and the third one looks pretty cool I guess. The concept of the forest-archer bird is pretty rad, though. Litten: Her design's a bit off, to be honest. It tries to be a cat—I guess—but it doesn't quite pull it off (at least in the official pic, something just doesn't feel right?). His evolution, Torracat, does make him look more menacing and I like it; yet, Incineroar is pretty lame to me. It gets too... humanoid? Like a boxer or something. I don't like it personally. Popplio: Popplio is a cutie. Brionne is not that good, but Primarina is amazing! I'd probably have swapped Litten for a Lava Snake, depending on how it looked. Or maybe just cut down Incineroar and make something more like Torracat? I'm happy about the starters overall, anyways, I like them quite a bit even if I have some things to criticize. I don't know anything about Hawaii anyways. But Popplio is great and I wouldn't have swapped him for a Shark. Litten, being a cat, made me think of the beta Pokémon RinRing and Bellbouyant which are really well-designed cats and I wish they were in the games tbh.
Ever been to Germany? What other Forums do/did you visit before LV? What do you think about the universe?
I have never been to Germany. I would like to go, though! Well, I frequently visit RPNation where most of my actual roleplay is done; then PokeCommunity (and its basically-dead spawn; long story), mostly just to roleplay too! Then I found PokeCharms and that forum lead me to this forum (it's funny, but I almost not join because of the all-black template; glad I did!), and I also registered in like Azurilland and the BulbaGarden forums! LakeValor has been the most engaging so far, though! Back in my days (?), I used to visit many more forums, but the golden age of forums seem is distant in the past, or something. The universe is a pretty vast thing, isn't it? It's basically just floating dark matter (I don't really know what that means) and millions of little stars and planets, and basically rocks. I'd say it's pretty rad. If it had Pokémon, it'd be perfect; at least we have cats, I guess? I don't know much about the universe, but I will do my research :O. *Rare pic of Whimsi contemplating & comprehending the greatness of the universe* Thanks for the questions Sethal! .
No Problem. Anyways, I'm gonna add some, xD. What do you think of the new Smash Bros.? Why do you like Whimsicott so much? Favourite Season & Why? What do you think was the greatest Innovation made by humanity?
Which Pokémon guy character would you give the award to for "Best Dressed"? Girl? Personally my choices are Steven and Winona
To be completely honest, I have no idea what a Smash Bros is apart from the fact that it's a game where Mario appears and maybe that it's like a crossover fighting game? I love Whimsicott because it's a little hopping fluff ball and it's so cute?? She leaves cotton fluff everywhere and she can wind up tremendous winds. Listen, she can manipulate her body to pass through cracks, no matter how small. She can withstand the most hazardous of winds; even more, she rides the winds. Whimsi is practically a God. Favourite season? Mhmm I think it'd probably be Autumn. Not too cold, not too hot (or both, actually; at least here). The trees have a nice orangeish tint to their leaves, and overall I just like it I guess. Winter is also great, though. Honestly? I don't have a clue. Probably books, or rather, written language. Winona's outfit is splendid :O. Off the top of my head, I choose you, Gary! The lad just knows how to wear it simple yet smooth. Spoiler For the girls, I have more choices: It's inbetween Zinnia (I mean, her outfit is really cool!), Lyra (I love her outfit, too) and Serena (I bet she can pull off anything). Spoiler Also, special mention to Blance and Candela from P!Go, their outfits are really nice! Thank you both! Answering was fun :O.
Thank you, someone else who appreciates Winona's sense of fashion (Also, yes, Blue is smooth, and Zinnia rocks the wild traveler look) Would you rather be a master chef or a master musician?
Oh, well I think I'll go for master musician, I can always try and make recipes even if they turn out not that good, and I'll still be making food; while as for music, I just can't half-ass it that much.
Favourite Pokémon-Spin Off? Ever played Pmd? Your thoughts? What do you think about a "black Hole bombs"/black holes? Best/Worst Place you ever visited? Why?
Mhm I'd choose Mystery Dungeon, I've played it but only to a point and I don't really remember much; was a long time ago. Have been considering playing some of them again for a while now! I barely know what black holes are, let alone black hole bombs. Ah, best place is probably England! I loved Oxford and London! But I haven't visited that many places either. The weather is of course very cold but nothing that can't be solved with some cool garments and I love the overall ambient and the architecture style. It's just nice to walk around, really.
sheesh, these answers are long... *Do you play competitive Pokémon? If so, what are your thoughts on it? *Favorite Ultra Beast?
let me answer with unnecessarily wordy stretches of text you evil being Shiny Whimsi for you: Not really, nope. I just play on ShowDown but just for fun and with a fun team most of the time; I don't know shit about the moves and all that competitive things, I have a friend who helps me with that because he does play competitive. The UB Adhesive aka Popipole <3. I mean look at this cutie:
What's your least favorite thing about Pokémon as a franchise? Would you rather had a high paying job, but not guaranteed job security, or a decent paying job with guaranteed job security? What is your goal for the next few months?
- Its tendency to be repetitive. Let's look at the anime and the games. In the anime, there's always Ash. And I like Ash. But for Whimsi's sake, let the lad grow up already. The anime should have been him growing up a few seasons and then becoming... something more, passing the baton to someone else (preferably, a girl would have been a nice contrast and variety). It would be amazing to see him grown-up now, maybe giving advice, or appearing every now and then. The other repetitive constant is how Team Rocket must always appear in an episode. Enough said. As for the games, I think they could try to do more innovative things with the stories they present, as well as maybe some different ways of battling Pokémon. -I think a decent-paying job with guaranteed security would be best. -I want to be able to write more, to have a constant flow of ideas that I am fond of enough to make an RP about or to make a fanfic about. Related to this, I want to be able to focus. Especially now I'm realising that it's increasingly difficult for me to focus on studying, no matter how much I like the topic on hand. I drift off to other, unfinished, ideas, like writing a story, my RPs, or whatever—grab my phone, turn on the TV for no reason, sleep, just wander about—and it's been super frustrating; it's monotonous and annoying. Thanks for the questions, they were pretty thought-inciting!
If you bcame a gym leader, which type would you specialize in? What team would you use? What kind of traps/puzzles would your gym contain?
Favorite Pokémon protagonist Least favorite Pokémon protagonist Favorite Nintendo game Do you want waluigi for smash
How much do typos annoy you? Do you make many? What’s the biggest typo you’ve ever made? Does your username have a story?
I would probs especialize in Grass/Fairy/Psychic. Whimsicott. Gardevoir. Roserade. Hoppip. Sylveon. Mawile. As for the puzzles, probably something related to plants, not sure though. Mmm Yellow I think. But it's difficult to choose a favorite tbh. I have no idea. I guess just Pokémon Emerald. I haven't played any Nintendo games outside of Pokémon's lmao. I don't even really know who Waluigi is but yes bc he's purple. Quite a lot. I guess if you're writing in a chat or something it doesn't matter that much, but in RP, or if you're making a fangame, it's important to write correctly. As for typos I make, I try not to make any. I keep having to go back to look for the word 'acquaintance' (looked it up, wrote it correctly, but still), as well as some other words. I guess typos bother me more because I'm not a native speaker. As for the biggest typo, I don't really remember one. I'm not sure why it's Dark Master, to be honest. I think I just saw some cool pic of something like the personification of the reaper. But I rememember the 006 was in order to differentiate it from others, and it was related to James Bond lmao.
