Today is the first day of spring! It sure feels like it too; the weather has been very nice here lately! Do you like spring? What are you looking forward to the most about spring? Personally, I hope the temperature stays just as it is right now for a while. No more ice!
I don't dislike Spring, but I'm not overly fond of it. The weather starts to warm up, the clocks go forward - and for crying out loud, that NEEDS to change, it serves no decent purpose in modern times - and it generally means a lot of confusion and panic as we enter a new financial year which means a lot of year-end preparation at work...typically in the week after the clocks go forward. Needless to say, I am booking a few days off so my body can adjust. Summer is what I hate. Spring is just the herald of that which is yet to come, the true enemy.
*has Spring!Camilla flashbacks* Don't say that... X_X;;; I like spring just fine, so long as I had a winter beforehand. Sadly, where I live, that's nigh-impossible, so I'm not really a fan. I'll take it over summer, though...
What am I looking forward to? How about the fact it's not fucking cold anymore! This winter was particularly one of the coldest and most brutal we've seen in America. I know I don't have much to complain about living in Las Vegas, but yes it gets cold here too! The temperatures are climbing up where I can finally work without wearing a heavy coat all the time. It's gonna get hot really fast though, so I'm hoping it stays around this temperature until June.
Its too hot! I don't like spring because its always hot. I love winter, and the cold weather so whenever spring rolls around its like a kick in the face with heat. Especially the heat where I am is way too hot. Not to mention the allergies and inflammation I get from all the pollen in the air. What do I look forward to in spring? That would probably be the week where the cherry and plum trees are in bloom. That is absolutely stunning. Other than that, spring is my second most hated season. (By my description of heat, its not hard for you to guess the first.)
Seeing a Glaceon avatar followed by "It's too hot!" amused me. But yeah allergies are horrible, even if the flowers are nice.
It ended up being kind of chilly today. Warm sun, cold wind. I guess that's one drawback, the weather can never make up its mind. Plus tornadoes.
Summer is so hot! I may be looking forward to the pool or beach, but that unrelenting heat... Oof. But for now, Spring is okay. It keeps oscillating from 35 to 60 each rainy day, but other than that the sunny days are mild and enjoyable. I'm able to go hiking, or find cool places to sit down and sketch.
Both of the places I’ve lived in have very different Springs, which makes it hard for me to judge. My hometown’s Spring is the definition of stereotypical Pacific Northwest weather. Rainy and humid. Every now and then there would be a sunny day, but that only made the already high pollen counts worse. My current area’s Spring is so much better. It never goes above 75 degrees fahrenheit and the occasional rain storm is always light. I wouldn’t be surprised if the large amount of people moving into the area is from the Spring weather alone. It’s that nice.
