This a thread where you can post and discuss all of your favorite Trick room Pokémon/teams, whether they're setter-uppers, sweepers, walls, for triples, doubles, or even for singles (honestly though it's probably doubles.) Here are some favorites of mine: Telle no one (Gothitelle) (F) @ Chesto Berry Ability: Shadow Tag EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD Sassy Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Trick Room - Rest - Tickle - Psyshock I think Gothitelle is one of the most underrated Trick room users. I realize the only reason to use it over say, Cressilia is because of shadow tag, but that's not a bad reason by any means. The guarantee that your opponent can't switch is extremely useful, and takes a lot of stress off when it comes to predictions. Partner Gothitelle with something that has intimidate, and your opponent will be trapped with their lowered stat. I have the EVs set up so that it can survive a knock off from Bisharp 66 percent of the time, and so that a specs Hydreigon will never KO (unless critical) with Dark pulse. The fairly slow Scrafty makes a great teammate, as it has intimidate. Scrafty can also use fake out, which is extremely useful for getting trick room set up, especially if you don't run protect on Gothitelle. Tickle and Psyshock work great together, even more so if you're partnered with a physical attacker such as Scrafty. (Though Gothitelle will move second in trick room, so you might want to give Scrafty a just enough speed IVs so that he goes after Tickle is used.) Here's the Scrafty I use: Ghetto Gecko (Scrafty) (M) @ Lum Berry/Assault Vest Ability: Intimidate EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD Brave Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Fake Out - Knock Off - Ice Punch - Drain Punch I'll probably post some here later, but for now my fingers are tired. So, what are some of your favorite competitive trick room Pokémon?
Porygon2 @ Eviolite Ability: Trace EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SpD Relaxed Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Trick Room - Conversion 2 - Tri Attack - Recover - Trace copies your opponent's ability. - Conversion 2 changes your type to resist your opponent's last move. - The EV spread gives Porygon2 265 in both Defense & Special Defense. - Tri Attack is for spreading status (hopefully). - You MUST take care of Ghost types. This Porygon2 is a god, especially in Doubles. With Trace, you will usually be copying typical abilities such as Water Absorb/Storm Drain, Flash Fire, Volt Absorb, Levitate, etc. When you combine these abilities with Trick Room, Eviolite, and Conversion 2, this Porygon2 can be quite a handful for opponents.
