So, you may or may not know about nanowrimo. Essentially, one writes 50k words in one month, the month of November. Do I have any fellow sufferers here? My story will be open to reading and critique over the month here. It's not too late to join!
I thought about joining, but November is when a lot of school projects and assignments are due for me, since it's nearly finals here in Canberra. I guess I'll just have to hope for next year. Good luck to you and everyone else participating though! 50k is a whole ton of words, but don't get too stressed. It's for fun after all.
I've won the challange 4 times now? Did it as a project in highschool to get an automatic 95% in creative writing. Anyway I'm doing a megaman fanfic this year based of of an idea on fanfiction.net. Wish me luck I start tommorrow. Funny, first year i started with a 3 day handicap and finished a day early 0_-
@[member='shinygiratinaz'],You could always do one of the Camp Nanowrimos, which are in the Summer Months, or be a rebel and just write 50k on your own time. You can use YWP for that, I think
I've been doing this for three years now and haven't won... yet. ...I'm going to die. I'm going to freaking die now.
I had done, and successfully completed, NaNoWriMo in 2013. I haven't done it since haha, the last November was pretty busy on its own and it looks the same way this year. I would like to do it again though, perhaps next year!
I've never did Nanowrimo as of yet, but I've done a similar challenge in the summer, whereas it was crazy for me to even write 20k! I think I'll be able to participate next year, but I need a plot first, XD
I know a fair handful of people who have participated in it, but there's no way I could bring myself to do the same. My spare time already has many activities fighting for it as it is, but that's far from the main reason. In fact it's not a reason at all. The reason why I'll never participate in NaNoWriMo is that I always write at my own pace, and only when I actually have ideas come to me. I do not write at anyone else's pace or standards, nor can I force ideas to appear. It's much better to take time and end up with a quality of work I am satisfied with, than to rush to someone else's time and end up with a shoddy product.
