Hey what's good? I've been making forum sigs for a while now so I decided to make a portfolio thingy for funsies. I'm still learning and trying to improve so criticism is very welcome. And before you say anything I know I'm terrible at text.
Really cool stuff! I wouldn't say you're terrible at text, it definitely could use some work but there's always room for improvement I would tend to avoid rotating the text unless it really fits the aesthetic (in the 'fuses' one it really fits since the rest of the effects really exaggerates that diagonal effect, while it seems almost random in the 'souls' one, since while that effect is still there it's much more subtle). Honestly what you should be asking yourself after you've made a sig is whether or not the text really adds to the overall piece or takes away, and really for most of these I'd say it takes away. It draws attention away from the focal and just generally often seems out of place. If the text seems like it doesn't belong, just remove it. Not all signatures need text, and I personally find the best ones rarely do. The first 3 are definitely my favourites. I love the effects in the 3rd one, though is it just be or is the render a bit low quality? It looks almost blurry compared to the very sharp bubbles in the foreground. I feel like some work on the lighting on this one would make it just stunning. But yeah really lovely work can't wait to see more from you!
