Nightfall (Greninja) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Protean Shiny: Yes EVs: 40 Atk / 216 SpA / 252 Spe Naive Nature - Hydro Pump - Dark Pulse - Ice Beam - Gunk Shot Greninja is here to function as my answer to many of Zard X's checks and counters such as Hippowdown, Lando-T, Heatran, T-Tar and Tapu Fini. Once those threats are out of the way, Charizard X can come in to sweep. Charizard-Mega-X (M) @ Charizardite X Ability: Tough Claws EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Dragon Dance - Dragon Claw - Flare Blitz - Roost Standard Zard X set from Gen 6, nothing too special here. Considering running EQ over Roost due to Tapu Bulu already giving Zard X healing thanks to Leech Seed and Grassy Terrain. Celesteela @ Leftovers Ability: Beast Boost EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def Impish Nature - Leech Seed - Toxic - Heavy Slam - Protect Celesteela functions as my tank for this team. Good for when I need to stall out the opponent or check sets. Tapu Lele @ Twisted Spoon Ability: Psychic Surge EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Psyshock - Moonblast - Hidden Power [Fire] - Taunt Tapu Lele serves a very important role in this team. By setting up Psychic Terrain, I get rid of a lot of Zard X's threats like Accelrock Lycanroc, or Aqua Jet Azumarill. I also can use Tapu Lele to break through enemy stall, as well as prevent the opponent from setting up. Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 24 SpD / 16 Spe Impish Nature - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Hidden Power [Ice] - U-turn Lando-T is here to serve as a hazard setter and pivot, nothing more. Pretty basic stuff. Running Earthquake to counter enemy leads like Raikou and Magnezone, and HP Ice is ran against opposing Lando-T. Tapu Fini @ Leftovers Ability: Misty Surge EVs: 248 HP / 192 Def / 16 SpD / 52 Spe Calm Nature - Scald - Nature's Madness - Defog - Taunt Tapu Fini's sole purpose on this team is to serve as a defensive defogger, while also running Scald and Nature's Madness to do decent damage to other mons. Taunt is here as an extra measure. That's all I've got for now. If anyone has any suggestions for finishing this team and making it better, please feel free to leave them in a post down below!
Have you considered running any defoggers? Just so stealth rock doesn't pose a problem for zard before mega evolving
