Ok so I love 80s nostalgia even though I'm a millennial, but my parents were kids in the 80s. Stranger Things has a little to do with this love, and just how the 80s were great in general. But the music was the best! What's your favorite song from the 1980s? Mine personally is really any Bruce Springsteen song or Africa by Toto
I really like a lot of 80s songs, it is hard to pick just one. I do listen to real 80s music but NSP's cover album gives me great 80s jams. I have to say that Take on me, Everybody wants to rule the world, Subdivisions, Rock with you, We close our eyes, Jump, The burning down, are on constant repeat when I draw or have to write.
anything from 1980-December 31st 1989 that is considered music is good. Personally my favorite theme song from the 80s is the cheers theme.

Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a place on Earth!" Such a good bop. Belinda's had a successful career outside of that song as well. She was the lead singer of the Go-Go's I think she still tours as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOGEyBeoBGM
Jump by Van Halen. I know that isn't a very interesting answer since it's a very well known song, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't my fave. I remember the first time hearing it as a kid and thinking "wow, this song is freaking awesome!". Everytime I hear it I get pumped up. It's those synths man. The synths.
I like "Take on Me" by Aha unironically. If anything the memes make it better, but it's a good song regardless.
80s music is rad. My favorites would have to be Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House, The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades by Timbuk3, and I Want a New Drug by Huey Lewis and the News.
I live for the 80s, honestly. Love so many bands from that time period. My favorites, though, are probably "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "The Refugee," "Av Cat Dubh," and "Stories for Boys" by U2; "Eat For Two" by 10,000 Maniacs; "China Girl," "Modern Love," and "This is Not America" by David Bowie (most of my favorites by him are from the 70s or 90s); and "Another One Bites The Dust," "Flash," and "Under Pressure" by Queen (and David Bowie, in the latter's case).
I love 80's rock music, but right now the song coming to my mind is Living on a Prayer. I can't really say why, but I really enjoy the song.
