How about we sacrifice Montana? Nobody remembers that state. It's beat by Idaho for potatoes, and as long as a majority of the potatoes are safe, that's good Besides, do we really want to get rid of Disney?
So I did some brief searches on each of those states mentioned, and of those, the ones that have no real claims to fame are Kansas, Nebraska, and North Dakota. Kansas and Nebraska are oddballs though, because while there isn't much there attraction-wise, they do contain fairly large population centres for the USA (Wichita and Omaha, plus a couple others). If you're looking for a sacrifice that would have the least impact to the surrounding area, choose North Dakota. On the contrary, if you want to cause the most impact, choose Florida. Either way, I don't recommend Montana, because Montana contains Yellowstone National Park, which is renowned (among other things) for its geysers - and geysers tend to get really testy. They don't mix well for volcanoes. I am against that particular choice.
Wait, I thought we were sacrificing PEOPLE. dang it.... Well, I guess Nebraska. Because we can't get rid of Kansas because of Wizard of Oz.
