Why will you be picking this game up?

Simply because I'm hooked on Pokémon again, have been since the start of Gen 5 after a long time absence. I don't even know if I will get it release day or if things will change between now and October though.

 

My reason for picking it up would be simple. I've enjoyed the Pokémon games since R/S/E and I've realized that it has a very unique feel. After HG/SS, I'll admit I eventually forgot about Pokémon for a brief year, but I remember it left a huge hole in something that was already a part of my life. I had no knowledge about the release of Black and White, but when my friend showed it to me, I remembered the one unique thing in my life and picked it up ASAP... Eventually, I realized that the enjoyment I obtain from these games are unique, as I never stay on a video game for a long time. Naturally, I realized they hold a huge and deep sentimental value to me as they also hold my memories of the past. Of course, X and Y will be no different... It will continue what the previous games have held in my heart from the past.

 

I've always loved Pokémon. It's definitely the fandom I've been glued to the longest~ So many good memories~ <3

But to be honest, after I beat Diamond and Pearl, I took a vacation off of Pokémon because I didn't like Gen 5 anymore than Gen 4. But after my curiosity got the best of me, I tried Gen 5 out. Now that I got back into my old fandom of Pokémon, I will definitely be picking this game up. I'll try to get it on release day, as long as fate allows me to do so :'D. I've been hoping for another 3D game since Colosseum and XD. When they finally announced X & Y, I was ecstatic (despite me being one of those crazy people wanting a gen 3 remake. I wasn't disappointed at all with the real decision~) Plus not to mention, it looks really well done. The starters are really cute looking and it's been ages since I've liked more than just 1 starter Pokémon. So I'll be patiently waiting the arrival of X and Y~

 

i've been hooked on Pokémon for as long as i can remember. i've been getting games on release day since ruby and sapphire came out, but of course i've been playing for much much longer than that. i'll be getting them because over the years Pokémon has become a part of who i am.

 

Well I am a Huge Pokémon fan been playing the games since 2nd Gen!

But the only Pokémon game I have pre ordered is Heart Gold
and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pre order X/Y, I haven't been this excited for a Pokémon game since HG/SS!

 

If I don't, Ben will continue to tell me about how good it is and how I'm missing out, and then eventually, I'll crack and have to get it. Might as well save my self the suffering.
But really, I'm just quite intrigued by the concept of a full 3D Pokémon game, and this generation seems quite promising. I like both of the legendaries, so I'm probably going to obtain and play through both.

 

I will be picking up a copy of this game in october becuase i am a huge Pokémon fan and tend to get every game the day it comes out unless something happens but other than that i love the series im looking foward to the console change and it should be awesome

 

I love Pokémon. I've been in the fandom since... eh... a year and a half before the release of Diamond and Pearl. I haven't left the fandom since. The fact that my friend, who hasn't really been interested in Pokémon since R/S/E, is really pumped for this game, is a seller for me alone, as well as the fact that, well, I can't just quit here. I'd never forgive myself. Pokémon is just too damn amazing for that.

Just gotta get money for a 3DS now. Thank God my birthday's in July.

 

New gen brings new Pokémon, new characters to meet, and a new region to explore

 

I'm a huge fan of the hand held games and have bought every one of it's series (not including pmd and spin offs) Seeing as this one is in 3D, I definitely can't refuse. Even if it wasn't 3D, I'd still buy though haha It's just one of those games that I enjoy playing so I why wouldn't I get this one

 

I probably wont pick it up on release day, but I am going to get it. I've had at least one copy of each gen, same with the spin offs. But with all the new Pokémon I need to keep up and hold the title of the Pokémon Phd above my friends' heads haha

 

I'll do my best to get it on release day, if not when I get enough money.
They have a a lot of potential to make the game awesome so I'm really looking forward to it.

 

My reasons exactly to a tee. I am hoping though they will release a 3DS or XL Pokémon system though, as I've always collected (The stupidly sold them) since the Pikachu GBC I got way back when.

 

It's Pokémon! I grow up with Pokémon. So how could I get the game not?
I'm so excited for the 3D World. I really can't wait to get it ♥

 

Definitely going to get it... though, I wish it has a feature to transfer older gen Pokémon into it.

 

Simply because its a Pokémon game. Also there's the fact that there will be new Pokémon and I love new Pokémon.

Some games were not as good as I thought (like diamond/pearl/platinum), but very often this games catch me to game hours and hours, so I'll continue my rutine xD

 

I'm simply getting the game because it's on the 3ds, it's a new generation with new Pokémon, and I'm a Pokémon fan

 

Being a big fan of Pokémon and handheld games, I have to get this game! Along with being a huge fan, I'm anxious to see how a full 3D Pokémon game will be. At first I really disliked this idea; I like the original format of Pokémon games. But, there's a first time for everything! I hope gen 6 is good
