Alrighty. Positives: Fairy-typing gives it a distinct advantage against the common Dragon-types in the meta High HP + Sp. Defence make it tank all but the most powerful of special-attackers like Alakazam and Gardevoir Excellent Sp. Attack gives the moves it can learn enough power to combat many other Pokémon Negatives: Design seems very stereotypical of what fairies should look like - very cute-oriented, almost to the point of ridiculousness (and those eyes... those eyes that pierce into your soul... ) Very limited in its movepool set, to the point where a special tank would just run Calm Mind/Moonblast/Shadow Ball/Psyshock (or HP-Ground for type coverage); this is actually an issue I have with ALL of the Eeveelutions, not just Sylveon While it does get some good support moves, it lacks the Speed and/or Defence to get enough time to set them up, usually giving the opponent enough time to switch in a Steel-type to wreck Sylveon
I did, thank you. Our dorm held our Christmas party tonight, which was fun (though I swear they turn up the volume on those speakers way too high, every time...). Watched Jim Carrey's The Grinch, which is always worthwhile.
Do you have a preference on where you want to live once college is finished? What’s a TV show you will refuse to watch no matter how good people say it is? Do you prefer combo or key locks?
Not particularly, though the college I'm attending is such a good college that I would like to teach here. The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Rick and Morty, Steven Universe (and 99% of other TV-cartoons)... there's probably others but I can't think of them at the moment... Neither, though key locks are more easily broken; combo locks require either finding it written down somewhere, whether plainly or in a cipher, or a stethoscope to hear for the faint clicking of a lock releasing.
Depends on my mood. If I'm in a particularly nasty mood I'll sacrifice an alien species to a genocidal species of hyper-advanced AI monsters. Usually I'll just focus on enslaving and killing creatures with my own creatures, forcing them to bend to my will with my advanced technology. If I'm in a really good mood I'll just hand over a poor security guard to possessed animatronics.
A fair number of them, though to be honest I can't remember all their names. *looks them up* Okay, I've seen The Mask, Batman Forever, Liar Liar, The Truman Show, The Cable Guy, Me Myself and Irene, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Bruce Almighty, and bits and pieces of Earth Girls are Easy, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Dumb and Dumber, and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
:: Are you fond of anagrams? :: Who is your favourite fictional character, and why? :: Which Grinch film is better: the live-action Jim Carrey one, or the animated one as narrated by Boris Karloff?
Sometimes; depends on the anagram. It'd be too hard to choose because there are so many that I like, but the one I have the most history with is Duo Maxwell (Gundam Wing) - he was someone who, despite all the bad stuff that happened to him, didn't let it get him down and always found something to smile about, and that gave me encouragement in a dark time in my own life I like watching the Jim Carrey one, but listening to the classic one, if that makes any sense
Do you like mixing anything like spices into your hot chocolate? Or are you more of a classic just-chocolate-and-marshamallows kinda person?
Ah, voice-overs! ...Actually I don't know how well that one that would work. The only thing those two films have in common is the song. :: Do you tend to wear a specific colour of clothing more often this time of year? :: What's your opinion of egg nog? :: Why are there twelve days of Christmas (25 Dec - 5 Jan)?
No, no overlap. I mean that, as far as watching them I prefer watching the live-action movie, but as for listening to the story I prefer the classic. 'Tis hard to beat Boris Karloff. Not really; the only thing that changes is if I wear a sweatshirt over my regular shirt or not. MOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!!! I dunno... commercialism? *shrugs*
If you had to live in a video game universe for the rest of your life, which one would you choose and why?
I dunno... If I could choose what sorts of skills I started out with when I entered said world, I'd probably choose Kingdom Hearts and work with the Twilight Restoration Committee. I don't need a Keyblade or anything, just some weapon skills (probably a scythe, because that's the coolest weapon ever) and magic. I already have tech skills, as well as an ability to cook, so I'd be useful enough for the group. Working alongside my favorite FF7 and 8 characters (Leon and Yuffie) would be the icing on the cake. My second choice would, naturally, be Pokémon. Having grown up with it, this world is near and dear to me. The only thing that I would want is for my feet to be shaped better; because I'm flatfooted, I have a hard time doing things the require lots of walking. I'd want to start out in Hoenn because I love the starters there the most, but Alola would be an awesome starting point too.
