The penalizing in that game was horrendous. Atlanta throws three picks and still wins! If you did that against teams like Seattle, that's a death sentence!

    Detroit should've won that one.

That awesome moment when you realize that the Patriots have the same record as the New York Jets XD

The Bills are leading their division and OJ Simpson is out of prison. Throwback to the 90s much?

I did. Man, it's nice to see those awesome plays all over again, and to see ones you missed because everyone wants to watch the one game and not flip between multiple games. XD

They say offense wins games, but defense wins championships. Check out the top defensive plays from this past week !

You know you're having a bad year when, despite having been a top contender for many years, you're tied with the Browns - THE BROWNS - for the worst record in the league, and your green-clad 'little brother' is performing better than you.

Even though I don’t follow football, this has been pretty entertaining to read and help me destress from homework. I feel like @Sugar and @BraviaryScout would make good sports show hosts!

We appreciate any support we get. If you want to jump in and share your thoughts on the weekly highlights, please go right on ahead. I don't know much about football, but anything to keep the threat from going under helps.

Here we go everyone! It's time for Week 6's Game of the Week! This one is going to feature two 4-1 NFC teams dominant in their respective divisions who will clash in a Thursday Night football showdown in order to gain a stronger foothold.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Carolina Panthers (8:25 pm EST)
Record: Eagles lead the all time series 6-4-0 including postseason

    History
This week will focus on two teams in the middle of their rebuilding phases, both seeking to clinch a spot in the looming playoffs in January. Both teams failed to qualify for the playoffs last year, losing out to a bitter divisional rival. Now in 2017, both lead their respective divisions with only a single loss. Carolina's lone defeat as of this week comes from a shocker at Charlotte against struggling New Orleans while Philadelphia has steamrolled everyone in its path thus far save for their loss at Kansas City.

The Eagles are coming off of a blowout win against Arizona 34-7 while the Panthers won a nail biting game against the ever-dangerous New England 33-30.

    Keys to Victory

For Philadelphia, their defense will have the difficult task of stopping three time Pro Bowler, First Team All-Pro and former NFL MVP Cam Newton. Key Eagles defensive linemen such as Chris Long and Fletcher Cox are listed as questionable for the game and it will be up to the second string front, as well as linebackers Mychal Kendricks, Nigal Bradham and Brandon Graham and defensive back Malcolm Jenkins in shutting down the Panthers' offense. Philadelphia has to be careful when blitzing and applying pressure as Newton is a notorious scrambler and can squeeze through thin openings if given the opportunity.

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has shown to have a hot hand this year, posting double digit touchdowns and only 3 interceptions in the season. His top target is tight end Zach Ertz, who will seek to expose Carolina's weaker secondary alongside wide receiver Nelson Agholor, Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith. Similarly, he faces a strong defense in Carolina, led by three time First Team All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly, who has established himself as a reputation of being one of the most dominant middle linebackers in the entire league. Kuechly will be aided by linebacker Thomas Davis and defensive linemen Vernon Butler and Kawann Short in order to help clog up the interior and stop the Philadelphia's running game. Carson Wentz will find it difficult to move the chains if his offensive line fails to keep him protected from the pressure.

    FINAL SCORE: Eagles 28 - Panthers 16 OR Panthers 20 - Eagles 13
