This is the most submissions we've had in a while, with a lot of creative designs to go around. It's clear that everyone put a lot of work into these monsters (except for BZ, that lazy bum) and I'm sure it'll be hard for many to choose their favorite. I know I'm having trouble deciding.
Chemiclysm (Poison/Steel) - Name is derived from Chemical + Cataclysm
    Stats - 83/118/118/83/83/45
    Abilities - Stench/No Second Ability/Radioactive Gas
New Ability - Removes the item of both the user and the target upon switchin.
    Pokédex Entries -
"After the explosion of one of the most powerful weapons known to history, Chemiclysm emerged from the ground. Inhaling the fumes it produces is enough to knock out nearly any other Pokémon."
"Despite its uncanny appearance, this Pokémon means no harm. It curiously explores the world around it without causing battles with other wild Pokémon."

    Other Flavor / Notes -
    - This Pokémon doesn't have traditional arms. Instead, it has several disorganized tentacles that come out of the frontmost part of its body. Can't expect a freak of nature to have normal proportions, can you?
    - The pipe you can see on its back can produce gases, but this was not added to the final sprite for a kind of complicated reason.
    - Its face is very loosely based on a gas mask with some exaggeration with its features just to spice it up a little bit.
    - Competitively, its defensive typing isn't that bad. It's got a few nice resistances like Grass, Rock, Fairy, and Ice, but there are some bulky Steels that would do its job better for their better defensive resistances. I think this thing would get both Toxic Spikes and Recover, and the utility of being able to remove something's item for free is fantastic. A Steel-type with free reliable recovery can't be too bad on its own, especially one like this with great physical bulk and not terrible special bulk if invested, so I could see this landing comfortably in somewhere like UU or maybe RU.
    - What's it based on? Aside from the obvious radioactive waste monster thing, this is my idea of "Grimer's concept done right." I got this idea when posting on a thread with my opinions on object-based Pokémon. Grimer's super bland as is, you need to flesh out its design concept as much as possible to get something like this to work.
    - I don't really like signature moves or abilities on random Pokémon, so take Radioactive Gas as an ability that would be given out to several other Pokémon as well. I could see Weezing, Garbodor, and Skuntank being good contenders for this.

Also, just for fun, some concept art...

The very first idea I had for this dude

I noticed the top one lacked appeal and had a really generic body type for what this could be

Here's the final product. Crazy how much better something can look in pixel art than in MS Paint sketches!

Cutesaicin (from cute + capsaicin, the chemical that makes peppers spicy), the Mild Pokémon.
“This mild, docile Pokémon is used frequently in cooking. It provides a sweet, fresh flavor to any dish.”
“Some state there is an inner fire in Cutesaicin, but it hides this potential behind its innocent behavior.”
    Type: Grass
Evolves into Habsaicin after reaching level 37 and learning a Fire type move.
Abilities: Cute Charm, Chlorophyll, Oblivious (hidden)
    Based on sweet bell peppers.
[IMG] Habsaicin (from habanero and capsaicin), the Spicy Pokémon.
“When Pokémon come into contact with Habsaicin, they are burned by its ever-burning skin. In the culinary world, it is known to make even the most tolerant of spice lovers scream in pain.”
“A hotheaded Pokémon, Habsaicin is constantly angry at something and takes its anger out on innocent Pokémon.”
    Type: Grass-Fire
Evolves from Cutesaicin after reaching level 37 and learning a Fire type move.
Abilities: Flame Body, Chlorophyll, Anger Point (hidden)
Signature move: Pure Capsaicin. Fire type move, 30% accuracy, OHKO move. The target is ignited into flames with pure capsaicin. The target faints instantly if this attack hits. (No effect on Fire type Pokémon.)

Based on predominantly habanero peppers, but also devils, and the carolina reaper pepper (the spiciest pepper in the world).
    [IMG] Kindeer, the gentle Pokémon.
    Typing: Normal.
Pokédex entry: This Pokémon is incredibly shy around people. When it sees a human, it will freeze up, unable to flee.
Evolution method. Kindeer evolves into Wendeergo when it has high friendship.
    [IMG] Wendeergo, the influenced Pokémon.
    Typing: Normal/Ghost
Pokédex entry: As this Pokémon spends more time around humans, it starts to take after them. If a human is too selfish or greedy, Wendeergo begins to change to reflect that.
Evolution method: Wendeergo evolves into Wendighoul when it levels up when its trainer has more than 50,000 Pokémon dollars.
    [IMG] Wendighoul, the corrupted Pokémon.
    Typing: Normal/Ghost
Pokédex entry: This Pokémon feeds off of human greed and selfishness. The more greed it's exposed to, the stronger it gets.
As soon as I saw the possibility of normal/ghost, the first animalistic ghost that came to my mind was the wendigo. I tried to represent both the media portrayals of the wendigo, and the native american stories about it. The pale skin, humanoid figure, and themes of human greed come from what I've heard about the native american legend. The deer aspect mostly comes from the popular portrayals of it.

    Stenophygon, the Ambush Pokémon (Dragon/Bug)
With the ability to precisely control the color of their scales, Stenophygon are masters of camouflage. They will wait motionless for hours until an unfortunate victim wanders too close. When the perfect opportunity arises, they strike with blinding speed.
    Height/Weight: 1m (3.28ft) / 55lbs (24.9kg)
    Stats: 80/125/75/80/75/125 (560 total)
Abilities: Mimicry, Infiltrator, Ambush Predator* (Hidden Ability)
*While a Terrain is active, this Pokémon's evasiveness and critical hit chance are increased (both by 10%)
While doing some research for possible ideas, I stumbled upon the Brazilian dragon mantis, a rare species of mantis native to Brazil. I really liked its shape, so I used it as the basis for the design and color scheme. Its scientific name, Stenophylla cornigera, is also the basis of this Fakemon's name (along with an almost obligatory "-gon" for its partial Dragon typing and design). The Shiny version's color scheme was inspired by the orchid mantis.

This Pokémon is meant to be an ambush predator, like most mantids in real life. It is also likely the final evolution of a 2- or 3-stage line, but I'm not really in the mood to draw possible pre-evolutions. I'm not sure how competitively viable this Pokémon would be, since Bug is not a particularly good defensive type, but because it relies on ambush tactics, it make sense that it would be a glass cannon. Strike first, strike hard, and hope you knock out whatever you're up against.

    Infaerno, the Hobby Lantern Pokémon
    [IMG] [IMG]
    Abilities: Prankster, Illuminate, Pickpocket (HA)
Pokédex Entry: These mischievous tricksters are said to use their flames to lure unsuspecting humans and Pokémon deep into the swamps they call home.
When trying to come up with an idea for a Fairy/Fire Pokémon, one of the first things that came to mind were Will-O'-Wisps. When I was doing research on them I discovered that another name for these mysterious lights is "Hobby Lantern", referring to a species of fairy called the Hob, which is a close relative of the Brownie. Thus I decided to use the Brownie and similar fae creatures as the main source for the design and gave it a lantern. The red in its design is both to connect it to its fire type and also a reference to a type of Goblin known as a Redcap.
Edit: I somehow managed to forget to include the prized and voting deadline, so here they are.

Whoops, forgot to end the poll and post the results.
1st place is a tie between @Duo and @ID Zeta at two votes each, with @RadEmpoleon in third place with one vote.
Let's give all of our contestants a hand while I hand out points and set up the next contest!
