This is my thread to participate in the event, complete with my Day 1 piece.
I've never been the best at these, but hey, why not give it a try. The art is done in pencil and then inked over.
Day 1 - Ring
Klefki collect keys that they think are interesting. When angry the shake their keys viciously.

Day 2 - Mindless
The mushroom on it's back has taken control. The bug inside is mostly dead.

Day 3 - Bait
Chinchou are known for their long glowing fins. Contrary to popular belief, these aren't used to attract prey, but for self-defense.

Day 4 - Freeze
Born from an icicle that refused to melt in the morning sun, the body temperature of a vanillite is far below freezing. They sleep buried in the snow. A group of vanillite is known as a variety pack.

Day 5 - Build
Combee seek to protect their queen by building a hive wall of the many male workers. These structures can be a variety of sizes, depending on the colony and the resources available.

Also, can I just say how much I hate drawing hexagons?

 

Day 6 - Husky
Bred for strong, speedy sled pulling, these variants of Manectric are some of the fastest of their kind. They aren't meant for regular trainers as they require special diets and exercise routines.

Not my favorite, I'll be the first to admit. but it will do.

 

Day 7 - Enchanted

A legend exists of a young women who was turned into a Pokémon by a dark sorcerer. Unwilling to bend to the situation, the young women took control of her destiny and fought her way to the top. legends disagree with how the story ends. sometimes she changes back, other times she gathers a group of Pokémon and founds a village.

Day 8 - Frail
Despite their numbers and media portrayal, The Weedle line is surprisingly weak, often unable to defend it's territory from other bugs. Even caterpie tends to do better in the brutal world of Pokémon battling.

Day 9 - Swing
A warrior monk was travelling across the desert on an important quest. A sudden sandstorm came up, and the monk died. A nearby cactus absorbed his spirit and set out to finish his quest.

Day 10 - Pattern
The different patterns on Spinda have meanings among a fortune telling communities where they can be found.

Day 11 - Snow
Charmander's tail flame is rumored to represent's the Pokémon's life force. While many trainers will help a charmander protect it's flame from water, the question remains: Does the tail go out when the die, or do the die when the tail goes out?

Day 12 - Dragon
Sometimes called the king of the desert, Flygon have adapted for life in the harsh environment. They have unique eye coverings to protect them from sand, and their uniquely shaped wings allow them to dig easily.

Day 13 - Ash
Breathing the ash environment around a volcano is difficult for most Pokémon, but some have adapted to this harsh environment.

Day 14 - Overgrown
Born from the spirits of children who die in the woods, phantump are often found waiting for someone to find their bodies.

Day 15 - Legend

Considered one of the most influential of legendaries, Dialga controls the flow of time itself.

Day 16 - Wild

Normally relatively harmless, Zebstrika can let out a burst of speed that generates electricity. This wild charge can surprise unsuspecting predators.

Day 17 - Ornament
“It is hard to be away from home, during the holidays especially. I feel lucky to have my Torterra with me though, and he even let me decorate his tree. The ornaments are fragile, so he isn’t fighting as much, but he enjoys the opportunity to rest and give me hope.”

Day 18 - Misfit
Mimikyu are known for their desire to be liked. The true shape of this Pokémon is still a mystery. Attempts to check under the costume result in broken trust and injury to those who attempt it. Some though, some are more into imitating a variety of Pokémon.

Day 19 - Sling
Despite the many attempts to make Pokémon battles as safe as possible, young trainers and young Pokémon still tend to over extend and injure themselves.

Day 20 - Tread
Many falsehoods have been perpetrated in Pokédex entries due to small sample sizes and inexperienced researchers. Hydreigon actually tend to be fairly compassionate with their young, through they are also territorial.
