It's NEVER Black or White

As another morning began in Nuvema town there was a family moving in that was extremely harsh. The parents were Pokémon Breeders that didn't believe their kids should have a Pokémon. The twins, Gwendolyn and Marc were 12 and desperately wanted to be Trainers. But they knew they couldn't be since their parents would disown them.

As the moving truck was emptied, Gwendolyn and Marc sat on the steps of their home and waited for the okay to come in. They weren't even allowed inside without expressed permission. "Hey, you must be the new family that moved in," a voice greeted. The twins looked up and nodded. "I'm Cheren. I run the gym in Aspertia City. You should come out when you're done here," he greeted.

"If our parents say we can," Gwen promised. Cheren looked stunned at that comment. He had never heard of parents against their kids going places with Pokémon.

"Are your Pokémon hurt? I can heal them if that's the case," he answered.

"We don't have Pokémon," Marc responded. Cheren nodded and then heard their door open. "Hi dad," he greeted.

"Come inside. Your mother and I are done. No you can't go anywhere today," he answered. Gwen nodded and quickly ran inside before hiding in her room. They weren't happy and she knew. But Cheren saw that and could suspect something was up. So he flew back to Aspertia City with a plan to get those kids a life. With Pokémon involved.

 

As Gwen was in her room reading about Pokémon her mom came in. "Mom, can we?" Her mom shook her head and took her outside. "But why?"

"You don't need a Pokémon," she snapped and walked inside before shutting the door. She sat on the stairs and waited until she heard the door click shut. She ran to the wild grass before anyone could find her and began running faster. She didn't know where she was running but she was getting as far away from Nuvema town as she could.

Back in their house, Marc could tell she was gone. He had a close connection to her and his life felt stone cold now. "Get somewhere safe Gwen," he whispered. He only cared about keeping Gwen safe. It was black and white to them. Run away and be free or live under a roof and have food while being confined.

As Cheren was preparing to fly back to Nuvema town he heard the news come on. "In other news, a recent family has just moved in and the child has went missing. Gwen at age 12 was said to have been seen running away from her house and into the roads," the reporter sighed.

"Nuvema town only has Route 1. There's wild Pokémon on it and she's got nothing to defend herself with," he exclaimed and grabbed his Unfeazent and began flying back to Nuvema town. He didn't know how far Gwen would make it but he vowed to find her first before someone capable of evil did.
