LAKE VALOR'S BIG UPDATE (PART 2)

We've been working very hard making Palette Town better to use and enjoy! So, we have several more updates we'd like to share with you all.

Before we get started on all these changes, we know that big changes can be jarring, so this is likely the main aesthetical update we will work on for the time being. We're happy with these changes and we hope you guys are too, for now, we don't intend to go changing things too much. Though, new themes and such are likely to be on the horizon!

THE HOMEPAGE (AGAIN)

Incorporating some changes from the previous update, the homepage has received another revamp. This time, the forums are broken down into 2x2 grids, helping us condense and save space while giving you more mobility on the site.

We've seen the suggestions to improve the previous view and we hope this will help remedy that. It's certainly more condensed than before and remember - you can still turn the section images off via your preferences.

THE SECTIONS

Speaking of the homepage, many of our sections have changed around and some have even been merged together.

- Celebrations has now been merged with The Lounge, there is now a prefix for Celebrations.
- Game Corner is now its own section on the homepage.
- Roleplay Institute is now its own section on the homepage.
- Pokémon Journals is now merged with Pokémon General, there is now a prefix for Pokémon Journals.
- Valor Battle has been temporarily closed and hidden in preparation for new features.
- All sections have received shorter descriptions.

THE LEFTOVERS

As with any good meal, there are leftovers. Before this update has gone live, we added a few of these things, but this is pretty much the jyst-

- The search bar is prettier. Depending on your definition of pretty!
- The NEW! posts button is now green to make it stand out.
- The top banner of the site where the logo is, now has less empty space, meaning less scrolling!
- There is now a button for preferences on your userbar.
- You can create new threads from the homepage by clicking the pencil icon next to the sections name.
- You can view all of a sections prefixes and even use them to define which types of threads you want to view, by visiting the section and looking underneath the section banner.

THE SHOP

In preparation for a very exciting new feature that you will find out about soon, the shop has received a minor aesthetical update. Before it was pretty blocky but we've made some nice changes to make it more comfortable and enjoyable to browse. We hope you enjoy the new look.

Also, your Treasures that display under your avatar have been made smaller. They look cuter this way, I promise.

THE UNSUPPORTED... BECOMES SUPPORTED

Remember how we dropped support for the original, traditional Palette Town? Well, not any more! Palette Town [Traditional] has received all of the new treatments of the more modern Palette Town, but with the original section view. You can access and enjoy this (and the also updated Palette Town [Pink] by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the theme changer. If you are already using Palette Town [Pink] or Pallete Town [Traditional] you will need to switch to it again to make this update active.
