"Please be careful..." Leon muttered, just so Lysandre couldn't hear him.

"Awesome, Michelle..." Leon said. Now all that was left was to take care of the Destruction Pokémon before Lysandre's weapon had a chance to fire away.

The screeching of Yveltal could be heard across the Sekitai landscape. Before long, the Pokémon of destruction had vanished into the air, and was nowhere to be seen after.

"How is this possible...?" Lysandre said.

Leon kept quiet and went to see to the weapon. Now that Yveltal was gone, it seemed that the weapon couldn't activate either. Just to be sure, Leon powered down the weapon.

"Perfect," Leon said. "Heh, I think that actually does it."

 

"You wouldn't understand..." Lysandre groaned as he collapsed to the ground, badly wounded. "The world is useless, and even Pokémon are only a part of that..."

"We should get him tied up," Leon said. "Belle, see to that, please."

The Flare Guild merchants were aware that Yveltal had been defeated, and upon hearing its shriek, they came to realise that the battle was lost. They still kept up the fighting, though. Nevertheless, Leon had sent flaming arrows toward the gate to distract them, and then Cordelia's knights finally broke through the front gate.

As it happened, the sun started to dawn in the horizon...

 

"Well, aren't you a lucky one..." Lysandre grumbled.

Leon finally came back. "The knights are securing the entire fortress, and are seeing to the supply depot too. I think it's safe to say that this campaign was a huge success," he reported. Belle was busy tying up Lysandre's hands and arms, so Lysandre had to turn around.

Leon approached Hao and started applying a healing balm before standing up to face Michelle. "How are you feeling?" he asked her.

 

"What makes you say that? You know, he did spearhead a massive military campaign, you know," Leon replied. "Tell me more afterward."

By the time it was midday, Leon and Michelle were recovering at Cordelia's camp. Like Nouvaria before, the knights from Illumis were readying relief efforts into Sekitai. So it was official: Kalski was free at last. Meanwhile, the knights had taken full control of the last Flare Guild fortress and also of the weapon Lysandre intended to operate. Under Cordelia's orders, it was not to be activated at all, and it had to be secured. As for the fortress, the knights were doing what they could to return what was rightfully Sekitai's.

Leon and Michelle were sitting outside, at the food tent. After having gone through a thorough medical check, they were enjoying breakfast.

"So... What do you suppose we do with Lysandre, then? He is a prisoner right now," Leon said.

 

"He could maybe stand trial before the prince and princess," Leon said. However, he figured that that was probably under Cordelia's jurisdiction. "He will be punished, but I'll give him credit that he thought he was doing good."

He took a pie and started eating.

 

Even though Michelle had kissed him many times already, her kisses never failed to make Leon surprised. He swallowed and kept eating too, along with Belle.

Sooner or later, Cordelia's lieutenant arrived at their table with a report.

"Sir Leon, Lady Michelle, you'll want to know that we're prepared to send off Lysandre to Illumis. Now that may take a while, so we would prefer it if you could notify Prince Clemont and Princess Bonnie about the campaign's success. Could you do that for us?"

 

Leon stared at Michelle briefly when she winked at him. "Oh, um... yes, I'm ready when you are." He stood up and took Michelle's hand into his, and they soon left the camp.

They were at the junction of Sekitai, and standing at a crossroads. They were also still holding hands.

"Alright. We have a couple options as to how to head back. We can take the north road, which passes by Yantara and Tempera in our previous campaign, or we can go back the way we came, via Relievera. It's your call," Leon said.

Thinking of Yantara brought Leon some bad memories of the fortress there. That was where he and Michelle were kidnapped in the middle of the night, and woke up in a prison cell where Michelle wasn't even dressed. Just thinking about it made Leon's face turn pink. She looked good, he had to admit; and her red hair was just as attractive.
