Alyssa kept this room in mind if she ever wanted to see a good movie when they were available. She continued her walk down the long, empty hall, and came upon another room. This was a library-esque style room, with an extremely old-fashioned kind of design, and as one would hope, some old-fashioned books. Alyssa walked inside and looked for the librarian.
@Sugar (I was hoping Alyssa would check the matinee out, but if she would prefer to read, that's okay.)
@Sugar (Alyssa actually found the archives, which holds research info--if you want general reading, the real library is on the second floor)
(That could be of use in the future.) Alyssa walked upstairs to the actual library. It was still quiet, probably because people were reading Alyssa thought to herself, but she had yet to see anyone. She kept looking for the librarian, passing an abundance of books along the way.
@Sugar The front desk was not hard to find, and the librarians were busy assisting patrons or organizing books. "May I help you?" one asked as Alyssa approached.
"Yes, this is my first time here, and I'm looking for a good book to read, something that really gets you into the plot. Would you mind giving any recommendations, or pointing me to a section here that has such kinds of books?"
@Sugar "Well, what genres interest you?" the librarian asked. "We have quite a lot of page turners here, so it would help if you narrowed things down a bit."
"I think I would like something along the lines of a mystery or thriller kind of story. Again, something that wants you to keep reading more. If you have anything relatively new concerning this, that would also be good."
"Mysteries are over here..." The librarian pointed out a shelf marked with a "MYSTERY" sign. "Whether it's a whodunnit or a thrilling spy adventure, you'll find plenty of cases to solve here."
"Cheers." Alyssa thanked the librarian and ran off into that section of the library. The books on this shelf were gilled to the brim with all sorts of novels and the sort. She hummed down the long and vast shelf...
(She somehow finds some very dusty, very old mystery book. The text inside looks unreadable cause it's either in a different language or uses characters very she doesn't know how to read.)
(Fair enough.) Alyssa put the book back in its place before taking the book next it , a relatively new book with an interesting cover. It was right up Alyssa's alley, a spy thriller that looked exciting just from the cover.
@Sugar The book in question was a thrilling whodunnit starring a team of young detectives in Alola. The mystery also had some fantastic elements that drew on Alolan lore, as well.
Alyssa found a seat at a nearby table, put on her glasses, and fove right into the book. Based on the several mystery stories she's read in the past, she had very high expectations for this one.
