"It's a really long story, but what I do is simply look out my closet window and draw whatever I see. From the sky to the ground, everything from the raindrops to the snowflakes. I do have a painting out in the hallway by my closet if you'd like to see."
@Sugar Some had gathered around the painting, oohing and ahhing at the exquisite detail of the window view. Some were able to point out school landmarks, such as the entrance to the main square.
"For something so simple as a view outside a window, it sure gets a lot of attention." Alyssa said to herself. She turned back towards Angie. "My creativity begins and ends with a look outside my window."
"Yes, and I have shown my work all over back home. Big cities, small towns, even a few landmarks. I keep all my best paintings with me in my closet."
(She scarcely paints now, so maybe ten or there around. She always carries a pair of her best paintings [she doesn't carry around her bigger, more fancy ones with her] in her bag.)
@Sugar The art supply store was not far from the residential areas. After everyone had left and the kitchen was clean, this was a great opportunity to look around.
Alyssa walked in to the supply store and poked around a bit. She was just looking for some new brushes cause she was pverstocked on everything else. She went to an employee. "Excuse me, I'm looking for some new brushes. Anything that gets the job done will be fine."
@Sugar "All right, what kind of brushes are you looking for?" the employee asked. "Something that holds up to oil, or water?"
@Sugar The oil paints and the watercolors are in two separate sections, as well as paint thinners for the oil paints. Brushes were in the appropriate section.
Alyssa knew just what she needed, so she grabbed some oil paints and watercolors, and some brushes to get the job done. Maybe she'd need fancier supplies as she got better.
