Spoiler: The script for this quick scene

(The lights come up on the royal bedroom on one half of the stage, where Nichole is helping Caliste change into a sparkling pale lavender nightgown.)

Caliste: I can see it now...King Rowan and Queen Caliste..."

Nichole: Come to think of it, Sir Eliwood's pretty handsome himself!

(They laugh happily at this as the lights blink over to the other half of the stage.)

The lights come up on the royal bedroom on one half of the stage. Serena had used some of the royal family's bedrooms in Parfum Palace for inspiration, and the influence was apparent.

The lights blinked over to the other half of the stage, where Brock was patrolling the hallway. "Whatever they're doing in there, it must be hilarious if I can hear them laughing all the way out here." he mused. "But I have to keep them safe, even if that means giving up my own sleep--that's why I took a nap beforehand."

A creaking door then got his attention. "Who's there?" he demanded, drawing his sword.

"It's just me, Eliwood--the royal cook wanted to know if you wanted to have a snack while I take over the next watch." the girl playing Liliane began in a mimic of Ash's voice.

Brock was unsure. "Are you SURE you really are Rowan? I know he doesn't speak like that..."

"It's really me! If you don't hurry, I'm going to eat all the cookies the royal baker left for us!" the girl continued as Ash.

"There's cookies in the kitchen? Save me some!" With that, Brock hurried off as the lights went down.

"Eliwood followed what he thought was Rowan out of the palace, through the dark streets, and right into Admiral Liliane's trap!" Melody continued.

After a few seconds, Brock's voice pierced the air. "Rowan!" He walked in the scene soon afterward. "Rowan?" He sighed. "I could've sworn that was him..."

A tense stinger played as the lights went down, punctuated by Brock swallowing hard and saying "Uh oh!", to some nervous giggles.

Melody then reappeared. "Back in the palace, Brenna also fell for Captain Vernet's ruse...."

The lights came up on Misty patrolling a hallway. "Part of me wishes I could've taken an earlier watch, but the peace and quiet of the palace at night makes patrolling this late all worth it!" she smiled.

Just then, some footsteps approaching snapped her to attention. "Who goes there?" she called, drawing her sword.

The three bandits entered the scene, their blades drawn as well. "You guys again...don't you three ever learn?" Misty sighed.

With that, a soft adventurous melody played as Misty and the bandits battled, but the music shifted to a minor key as the battle wore on and spilled into the streets. Finally, the music culminated in a panicked stinger--and Misty screaming in terror!

Fearful murmurs filled the theater for a moment. Then, the lights came up on the hideout, where Misty was brought in, bound and gagged, before the boy playing Captain Vernet. "How nice to see you, Lady Brenna..." he sneered.

Misty tried to say something, but the gag muffled her tirade. "What? Your friends? I haven't a clue."

Misty said something obviously angry, but the gag made it impossible to hear what she said as the lights went down. "Pikachu hurried as quickly as he could to warn the real Rowan that his friends were in danger, not knowing that both of them were headed for a trap themselves." Melody explained as Tintri hurried around the stage in a spotlight, to some giggles and "aw"s.

The lights came up on another hall in the palace, where Ash was patrolling. "Midnight, and all is well--just another peaceful night..." he mused.

Just then, Tintri dashed into the scene. [Rowan! Brenna and Eliwood are in big trouble!]

"Brenna and Eliwood are in danger?" Ash asked. "Where are they?"

[I don't know, but we have to save them!] Tintri replied.

"No one captures my friends and gets away with it!" Ash growled. "There's something fishy going on here..."

Just then, a "Psst!" got their attention. "Who's there?" Ash demanded, drawing his sword as Tintri charged a Thunderbolt.

The lights blinked off and Ash and Tintri screamed in terror...

Melody appearing in her spotlight quieted the fearful whispers in the auditorium. "With our heroes captured, things looked bleak for the land--Liliane dealt with Eliwood, Brenna was thrown inside a hidden cell in Captain Vernet's secret hideout, and Rowan was brought to a cell deep within a ruined cathedral, where he was left to drown from the raging storm outside..."

The lights came up on Misty in her cell. She had worked herself free of her bindings, and was undoing the gag. Once she could speak again, she addressed the audience. "There! Now that I'm free, the next question is how to get out of here and find my friends..."

Some voices got her attention, so she listened in on the girl playing Liliane and the bandits reporting to The boy playing Captain Vernet. "We've brought the girl here..." the first bandit began.

"I'll dispose of the lovebird here shortly..." the girl playing Liliane added.

"Good--I have taken the black haired boy and his Pikachu to the ruins of Choseki Cathedral..." the boy playing Captain Vernet replied.

"Choseki Cathedral? But that place has been abandoned for years!" Misty gasped.

"Now that we have the three thorns in my side out of the way, the only one that still stands in my way is Princess Caliste...once she is gone, I will rule this land!" the boy playing Captain Vernet triumphantly declared.

Misty grumbled in anger as the villainous group laughed. "I knew from the beginning Captain Vernet was up to no good...he only wanted us and Princess Caliste out of the way so HE could rule the land!"

A hopeful melody began in the background as Misty continued "I will never bow to a traitor and a tyrant! I'm going to get out of here and save my friends!"

Suddenly, her blade touched a brick, revealing a passageway into an underground waterway, where a small boat was docked. "Well! A secret passageway! Maybe this will lead me to wherever Rowan and Eliwood are being held!"

The lights went down and Melody appeared in her spotlight. "Brenna managed to escape Captain Vernet's hideout, beginning a desperate search for her friends. Meanwhile, Admiral Liliane brought Eliwood to Kasen Bridge, where she planned to stage his death as an accidental drowning." While most of the audience chattered with worry, some of Brock's family in the audience were excited--Brock was going to sing his song next!

The lights come up on the set of a bridge somewhere in the city. The girl playing Liliane led Brock into the scene, and forced him onto the edge of the bridge. "Any last words?" she asked.

"I do have one last request...tell me what I have done to deserve to die." Brock calmly replied.

"You have interfered in our brilliant plot to take over the throne for too long--and all that oppose the captain will die!" the girl replied.

This angered Brock. "I will not allow that!" he barked.

"And why not?" the girl retorted.

"Think, Eliwood--your life's hanging in the balance on this one explanation." Brock mused in character. "She might spare me if I do really well making my case..."

"Either make your case as to why I should spare you or jump--I don't have all night!" the girl cautioned.

"If I'm gonna make my case, I should make it on a high note!" Brock mused, a playful grin forming on his face.

With that, he sang! I see shining in your eyes
A reflection of the future!

A future filled with many victories!

The girl watched in surprise as a blue spotlight appeared on Brock as the music picked up. I don't like it when people don't speak up he sang.
And spread their wings into the brand new dawn!
I've always dreamed that I could touch the sky
That's why I won't give up!

The song in my heart resounds through the city
It rallies all in the land to my cause!
And as the world hears the melody,
It gives me courage!
It gives me strength and hope!

Some in the audience gasped in horror as his final triumphant pose caused him to fall from the bridge! "Happy landings! And thanks for the swan song!" the girl giggled from the darkness.
