@Sugar @122 Generation The dive ship was a sleek white vessel--enough to hold about 600 passengers and crew. The Clamperl beds lay some distance north of the beach.
Alyssa looked off the ships deck and into the water. It sure did look really nice, but what was down there?
@Sugar @122 Generation For a while, the voyage is uneventful. But then Misty arrives with white balloons with nosepieces attached to them. "Here--this should help equalize the pressure in your ears before we dive."
@Sugar @122 Generation "If you need help, I can teach you how to use this." Misty explains. Ash adds "It also helps for long plane rides and curing earaches."
@Sugar @122 Generation Misty demonstrates how the balloons work--pinch a nostril closed, then use the other nostril to inflate the balloon to the size of a small Grepa Berry. Then you repeat the process with the other nostril.
@Sugar @122 Generation The boat arrived at the dive point some moments later. "We're here! Come get your masks and air tanks." Serena called.
@Sugar @122 Generation Serena passes out the full face masks--which match the colors of your wetsuits. "If you've already used your balloon, you can come get your mask." "Don't put them on until you've got your air tanks." Brock adds. "We'll all put them on together."
Martine followed Alyssa's lead. With the mask and balloon in place, as well as attaching mask to the air tank, Martine was ready to dive.
@Sugar @122 Generation Before long, the group was in the water, and on their way to the Clamperl beds.
Breathing normally, albeit only with her mouth and not her nose, Martine used the balloon to equalize the pressure in her ears.
