These aren't really puns. They are replacing rhymes in an otherwise forced-sounding sentence. The key is to make sure it has a good punchline. Nobody can a-door something they don't understand. Don't worry though. It gets easier with time, and with some experience, it isn't too hard to lock on to what makes puns so funny.
