Ahoy there mateys, and welcome to the Scramble Pirates RP! Get ready for a grand old time of sailing, plundering, and of course, treasure~ You all know your factions and skills, so let’s get right to it! Basic Rules: As the story takes place in a colonial-esque time period, high-tech stuff like cars, planes, and electricity are not allowed. Extreme violence/blood/death/etc. should be kept to a minimum as much as possible. Bruises/scratches/mild illnesses are okay; maiming and mutilating is not! If a scene is progressing smoothly, do not try to interrupt with a “lolrandom” interjection. This ruins the flow, and the attempt at “humor” will quickly wear off when other people get confused. RPs will take place in “chapters”, with a new chapter occurring every two weeks or so, depending on how we all move along. Each chapter will begin with a basic premise/plotline, and the story will unfold from there! Certain chapters may focus on a certain group more than another, but I’ll do my best to make sure all groups get their time in the spotlight! I, @OzoneFruit, will serve as the “dungeonmaster”. As the story progresses, I will start sprinkling in scenarios to keep you on your toes. Example scenarios range from a rival pirate/Valor Navy attack, to a storm/whirlpool forcing crews to team up/cause them to be marooned together. If a scenario is about to be introduced, I will make an announcement, and roleplaying should cease until the scene is written out. Go along with whatever happens, whether it be good or bad! This RP has a treasure system (We’re pirates after all!): Treasure can be gained (or lost) as the story progresses, and you can use your crew’s treasure to purchase things like new items or ship repairs! Treasure comes in three main categories: Gold: The basic currency, used for day-to-day stuff like food, water, and standard items. Can be won/lost in common minigames/quests. Gems: Can be used for buying rarer/higher class items. I may introduce characters later that can make further use of them as well! Mystic Treasures: Oooooo, shiny! Mystic Treasures are very rare, and successfully obtaining one can mean big bonuses for your crew in sticky situations. Can be won in special chapters centered around the treasure. Most treasures will have a usage limit; once the limit is reached, you lose them (or can’t use them for a bit)! Others will have passive effects that can help an individual. Spoiler: Here's everyone who will be signed on for Chapter 1! Azure Crew: A band of scrappy closeknit underdogs, this chapter marks the beginning of their formation. No one in the Azure Crew has met each other yet, but through a series of events, they'll agree (or be forced) to team up and set sail! Spoiler: Current Roster for Azure Crew Oscar and Olive Oshawott (@OzoneFruit) Good at: Swordsplay, Infiltration. Bad at: Reading (Oscar), Spending/Bartering (Olive) Joshua Smith the Servine (@Smarty_Pants001) Good at: Knives, Pickpocketing. Bad at: Shadow the Riolu (@Laserdragon14) Good at: Hand-to-hand combat, Detection. Bad at: Knot-tying. Marcus the Machamp (@BZRich64) Good at: Brawler, Navigation. Bad at: Speed. Anna Hayden the Charmeleon (@HeroofFire101) Good at: Swordsplay, Musician. Bad at: Navigating (Like, REALLY bad) "Grimwing" the Gabite (@Shockwave) Good at: Berserker, Medic. Bad at: Holding things. Umbra the Zorua (@Merdrabolt) Good at: Bat at: Cooking. Umbra also has poor eyesight. Crimson Company: This crew is also new to the pirate scene, but set sail a few months before Azure, so they have more experience up their sleeves. They strike up a rivalry with Azure after some shenanigans (how extensive this rivalry gets is up to discussion, but I'm leaning towards mostly friendly overall ). Spoiler: Current Roster for Crimson Company Aurora the Pidgeotto (@Fchicken77) Good at: Navigaton, Mathmetician. Bad at: Close combat. Bigjaw the Croconaw (@Arod) Good at: Brawler, hunter and gatherer. Bad at: Long-range aim Samson Berg the Alolan Sandshrew (@Ridlins) Good at: Axe combat, Storytelling. Gwooms the Goomy (@Gwoomy) Good at: Infiltration, Hiding small items. Bat at: Anything involving hands Valor Navy: Where there are lawless pirates roaming the seas, there must also be a law force in hot pursuit. The Valor Navy isn't the bad guy per se, but they will most often serve as a foil to a pirate's quest for treasure and hijacking, and as such, when pirates and Navy meet, the FIGHT IS ON. Spoiler: Current Roster for Valor Navy "Charles" the Ditto (@Haunted Ditto) Good at: Infiltration, Espionage. Bad at: Swimming. Ace the Pawniard (@Captain Comet) Good at: Swordsplay, Locksmith/lockpicking. Bad at: Swimming And now, without further ado, here we go with Chapter 1! LET'S SET SAIL Overview: This will be an introductory story for all three factions (Azure, Crimson, and Navy). The story begins at a pirate trading outpost, where it is common for shady deals/bounties to take place. At this points in time, the Azure Crew has not yet formed; the Crimson Company, on the other hand, has a crew going already, along with the Navy. Starting Info: All characters currently have 15 Gold. Crimson Company is docking for repairs after being attacked by a larger group of pirates known as the Mad Malamars. Their ship is in good condition, but their treasure reserves, apart from the 15 Gold per member, is currently gone. (This is only to have a level playing field in the beginning, not trying to be biased >_>) The future member of the Azure Crew do not know each other; now is the time to make introductions. The Navy is en route to seize the port and arrest all pirates present. THERE WILL BE A SCENARIO IN WHICH A MAJOR FIGHT BREAKS OUT. This being a port, there will be multiple shops open where Pokémon can purchase goods. Prices, quality, and services offered may vary. Be wary! Not all shops are looking out for your well-being!
