Shiny Dusk Lycanroc in Different Poke Ball

Dusk Lycanroc is an (ongoing) event. To get it, you use mystery gift's Internet option. A man will appear in the Pokémon Center and give you an Own Tempo Rockruff, which evolves into Lycanroc when leveled to 25 between 5-6 PM game time (sorry, Moon players - that means 5-6 AM console time).

There's been a bit of debate in the chat about if it's possible to:

• Get a Shiny Own Tempo Rockruff
• Get the Own Tempo Rockruff in a different Poké Ball

The answer to both is: yes, it's possible without hacking, and here's how to do it:

• Breed your Own Tempo Rockruff with a Ditto until you get another Own Tempo Rockruff (must be female)
• Take out the original Own Tempo Rockruff and Ditto.
• Put the female Own Tempo Rockruff offspring (that you just hatched) in with a male Rockruff in your desired Pokéball and egg moves.
• Breed until you get an Own Tempo Rockruff with the right Poké Ball.
• Breed the Own Tempo Rockruff in the desired Poké Ball until you get a shiny.
