Squidy flew around the sinnoh skies on his Sigilyph, bored. He landed down outside Hotel Grand Lake. It was only his second day in sinnoh and he was already bored. He wondered what he was going to do today as he went into the hotel.
Smackimus The Third, woke up. He'd had a very late night exploring Sinnoh's bustling farmer's Market. Skiddly-widdly-ding-dong (Blaze for short), his mischievous Chimchar, followed him as he got ready to leave Hotel Grand Lake. He planned to pick up a bite for a local bed and breakfast and then explore the town and study the various bug and grass types in the Eterna Forest! "Wow Blaze, I do hope we get to see a Murkrow in Eterna! They're pretty dang dope!" he confided in his companion. "chim- chaaa" screeched his fire type and off they went.
(Smackimus the Third...that, my friend, is the best name I have ever heard.) Squidy bumped into Smackimus. "Whoops, sorry kid." Squidy continued walking past Smackimus.
Smackimus hurried towards the elevator. His brain wandered to the cheese and egg and biscuit he so dearly craved. As he scooted down the cramped hallway, he brushed shoulders with a male no larger than him. "Whoops, sorry kid," he heard the man say. "yeah mate watch it right," he mumbled as he approached the elevator. As they made their way into the lobby, Smackimus picked up a map of Oreburgh City. He planned to rent a bike and zip his way across town and sight see.
The same person who was at the hotel, Squidy, was now in Oreburgh. Fast squidoodle. Squidy was battling another trainer. And completely destroying him. Squidy's Mimikyu was destroying the entire team of his opponent.
Smackimus chained his bike to a fence nearby after he got off. Blaze settled next to him ready to follow faithfully. In the corner of his eye he made out a trainer battle. He vaguely remembered the familial face of one the battlers but couldn't make out where he'd seen the battler. He lingered around as he was impressed with the trainer's Pokémon in battle. "Woah, that dude is skilled," he thought to himself. As the Mimikyu wrapped things up, Smackimus and Blaze began to leave.
A stray water pulse from Squidy's opponents Seaking hit Smackimus. Neither of the battlers seemed to noticed as the Mimikyu defeated the Seaking.
"Ugh, I hate water," growled Smackimus. He wasn't enjoying his trip so far. He wondered what he'd eat today for lunch. Food was always on his mind and he loved to think about it.
