The Codex of the Universe
Blood warning.
It's the midst of fall of 2009 as leaves dance through the air. Branches sway around as birds take to the sky flying to new lands. Vanilite a young girl was walking to the local library of a village of Monart. Admiring as the branches dance and birds argue. While she climbs the stairs up to the Library while admiring the views she misses a step. Slipping and falling down the stairs she attempts to regain balance to just fall backwards onto the hard pavement. Rubbing her head she gets up to a stand. Her vision was shaky and the world seemed to be at a stall . Looking around at this sight she walks around when her vision clears. She attempts to walk up the stairs as they give in on her. She falls down into a pit. Hitting roots as she falls she lands in a large pool of water.

Swimming to the surface she looks around in a daze. She swims to the shore and takes a break on her knees to catch her breath. "This is by far the weirdest day I've ever lived." She spoke in spaced breaths. Her sky blue dress was torn and dirtied up . Her face was scratched and branches were tangled in her short white hair.

She stumbles to her feet and falls as she pulls her dress up a little to see her scratched up knees. Sighing she stands once more. Walking around in the new area covered in flourish but not an animal to be heard. As she ventures further she finds a forest dense and tight. She walks through the open gap of the trees in a narrow path until a gap of light shows. She pushes a grouping of roses out of her way .

Sitting on a rock a lone book stood . Walking closer to it plants break out of the ground. Flowers bloom as she grabs the book. Wiping away a thin layer of dust she cracks it open. Particles of dirt and grime fly around in air. Coughing she turns the pages. In faint gold lettering "The Codex of the Universe" Confused by the text she turns the page to see only a blank page.

She flips the pages before getting to the end matter. In faint scribbling she read.
' The Codex of the Universe shall not be used for greed. The power to create matter of ones wills is not to be used for ones wealth . With the strike of the paper the paper will form what you desire. '

Unaware of the power in the book she takes off her wet backpack and sits on her knees. Taking out a wet pencil she scribbles the word 'Freedom.' when she places the pencil down on the book large shackles break out of the ground and swirl around the air. They merge together and form a ladder. She places the codex under her shoulder and starts to climb up the Ladder.

Reaching the top to it she shields her eye as the sun beats down on her a forest surrounded her. She walks around holding the Codex to her chest. She slides down some hills and finally finds an open plains. She opens the codex once more and writes down ' Home ' Large shadow hands break out of the ground and form a two story wooden cottage equipped with a fireplace, a kitchen, a dining room, three bedrooms, a basement for personal use, along with a study.

Admiring the cottage she places the codex on the dining room table. She hears crackling from behind her though. The campfire lit itself . Vanilite goes to extinguish it as flame hands grab her arm as she attempts to splash it with water. It waves a finger as a way to say no.

She hears the sound of trumpets outside playing Jazz. She opens the door to investigate. Shadow like creatures playing Jazz were outside of her house. Confused by this new world she grabs the codex. She cracks it open and writes ' Information' The codex crackles a bit as sparks emit off of it and the sparks fly around and fly into the study. Vanilite follows and sees the sparks flying around one book. She grabs it.

' The codex gives what one wants at the cost of a little bit of their sanity. The codex will not always be accurate. If used to much ghoulish creatures will go after the one using it.

The Codex is given to people who have died recently. Lured up a chain into a new land called the continent . Most lose their minds early while trying to use as much power as they can.'

She closes the book and sighs . "i've made a deal with a devil." She mutters her eyes shaking and her lip trembling as tears fall.

The Codex is on your side. If you want to escape the Continent, you must find peace with how you died To let everything go . Including past memories. The final end goal is to finally be put at rest. As the story progresses more people will enter the Continent .
The codex will create drawings and words all the same.

Name:Vanilite

Appearance: A short girl with a sky blue dress that was dirtied up by the fall, White hair that barely touches her shoulders that curls around in circles . Her skin was pale, she has crystal blue eyes that seemed to beam, her lips were more invisible than others as they mixed with her skin, she had stockings that went up to her knees, small shoes that have flowers dashed around. You'll mostly see bruises on her and or cuts.

Height: 4'11

Likes: Reading ,drawing, quiet , calming music , animals , nature, flowers, coffee.

Dislikes: Fighting, guns, anything loud, animal cruelty, broken bones.

Backstory:

Growing up in a small home with her mother she showed a love for reading and drawing a young child. Her mother always warned her of the outside world and how some humans find greed and power. Especially over young children. While venturing outside a group of three men crept behind a bush . Hearing them she starts to run home. While running as fast as she could her shoe clips onto a rock. She tumbles as she tries to stumble up she feels something grab her leg. She starts to scream as her mother came running out . Her mother grabs her and throws her to the side as a baseball bat swings right into the side of her head. Blood escapes her mouth as she tumbles to the side. Her mother stands a fighting way . Using mother instincts she takes down two of the three. Vanilite watched in a daze as the last man took out a knife and stabbed her mother in the stomach before running off. Vanilite tried to extend her arm at her mother as she fall before going out of conscious.

Strengths: She's able to decode things fast and has a strong sense of hearing. She also is able to draw very well which will have a great use with the codex.

Weaknesses: She has a low sanity and memories of the past will keep plaguing her. She's not very strong and is more of a support.

Personalty: A quiet girl who keeps to herself, she's a massive klutz who will fall over the slightest of a pebble. She's very emotional and will not be afraid to cry.

Death: Falling down the stairs onto a rock.

Theme:

If you're confused. All characters joining will be placed into the Continent. Each character must have a unique death

 

Pending. I dislike how many things have ???'s on them. That makes it very hard to mess with your character to mess around with when making the rest of the story. What happens in the time of where we have like 2 weeks until start . Not only is that to allow other people to join but for me to be able to see how some characters can work with others.
