Ok... So I kinda deranged from the original idea... But... Baaaawwwwwlllll T-T Spoiler Your nose was plastered against the window. You had never been so excited about anything before. Milo. "It'll be minutes until my birthday comes!", you say to yourself, staring at the shining watch your aunt had given you the previous day, with a wink and a dreaded, but necessary, pinch-in-the-cheek. 11:58PM. Your new life as an 8 year old was about to begin. Aided by the soft whirring of the car engine, the planning of your upcoming "big boy" mischief was transferred to your dreams. Wonderful dreams about big undertakings, things only a kid could imagine, even in dreams. Things long gone now. You were awakened by your mother, softly calling your name. As if you had never submitted to slumber, you bounce out of the car, and proceed to enter your mom's friend's apartment. You step inside, and, just as foretold, you are greeted by a small troupe of puppies. You had never seen your mom's friend before, but the thrill of having your own pet and her inviting smile was enough to leave your inhibitions aside and run to play with the puppies. Not 5 minutes later (It was late, after all, and if your memory serves right, it was a Wednesday), you were dozing off again in the car, this time, with a little warm furball cradled in your arms. He proved to be the best possible playmate, and an even better friend. Milo was his name, and he knew nothing but love, and made it evident to you. And now, 17 years later, you look back on that day with a smile and a tear. Your friend has seen better days, and you both know it. You pet him, and you kiss him on the top of his head, while you regret not dedicating so much time to him for the past few years. He wags his tail like he always did, though, forgiving you without ever being mad. You cradle him once more, as you did that day, and many others. And he's in peace now. And will be forever. Milo.
This got really dark, really quickly....*apologizes in advance* Spoiler Trying to begin an epic adventure. David packed his clothes into a suitcase, threw his drawing tools, tablet and pen, and handheld games into a backpack, the console had been packed and shipped to his new place already. He was looking forward into moving into the new apartment, he decided to move to upstate New York to pursue a career in art and graphic design. Once his bags were organized, he climbed in the taxi that pulled up to his house and jumped in. "I'd like to go to the airport, thanks." David nodded. "And I'd like a million bucks, kid. But here I am, a taxi driva. Whaddaya want me ta do?" he spat. "Uh....drive me?" David cocked an eyebrow. "Don't you snark me or I'll charge extra." the driver rolled his eyes and began to drive. David couldn't understand what the guy's problem was. He was just trying to get an optimistic start to the day, and even his new life, but this driver seemed incredibly pessimistic. He shook it off and hung back in the back seat. Once the driver finally pulled up to the airport, he said, "That'll be $250." David was absolutely shocked! They'd hardly gone fifteen miles! It couldn't be that much! "Let's be reasonable here! That's nearly half of what's in my wallet!" David cried. "Ya mom and pap didn't set ya off well, did they? Doesn't matta, gimme the cash or I drive ya back." the driver growled. "I....whatever. Take it." David spat bitterly, throwing his cash through the window and storming away with his bags. I just try to go build up my life...and people try to take it away from me. The worst.... As David was thinking this, his bags fell open. He cried out in dread, he was in the middle of the walkway. His tablet and game systems obviously broke, his clothes fell into a puddle and everything but his drawing tools was destroyed. David tried to salvage what he could, but wasn't paying attention, and neither was the driver. Brakes were heard screeching, but it was too late. Screams erupted and people began to run away....it was the end of his epic journey, so early.
