What are some opinions you have that go against the main trends of art? Some of mine are: Tracing does indeed help you form muscle memory when it comes to drawing. The simpler, the better Talent does exist in the art world (even if most of art is just hard work) Having a unique style is not an excuse for not learning anatomy (in fact I believe the more you know about anatomy the better the art is)
Tracing helped me to understand the motions and shapes of art pieces, and I don't understand the huge problem with it. I don't trace for my actual art pieces, not even for the sketch anymore, but I would still recommend it to beginning artists so they can get a feel for stuff.
