I was playing Xenoblade until I got around halfway through the game on New Game Plus, which has been extremely underwhelming compared to my first playthrough. Now I'm just trying to past the time until Christmas so I can get something else to play. I needed to quit playing it too so I could try to be all surprised by everything in it when do a Let's Play for it. I do hope to soon be playing Ultra Moon though.
Right now, Fire Emblem Heroes! Going through the new stories I missed while I was taking a break from it. Really hoping for those 5* Christmas summons..
Merry Christmas! To celebrate the season I'm going to be playing through the main series AA games in order again - or at least the first 4 + AAI. I'll decide what to do with 5 & 6 later. You have to play AA1 this time of year. You simply have to.
Too much. Mostly though, I've gotten engrossed in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on PS4. I hated this game when it came out on PS3, and the last few days have reminded me of why: no convenient fast-travel system, no lock-on, no dodging (at least outside of a core skill for one class) and blocking is trash. Enemies stunlock you, there are a ridiculous number of escort missions...god. But I can't stop playing it. I ran through Bitterback Isle to pick up the Dragon Ire bow, cheesed the Gazer boss with hand bombs, knocked Death into a chasm - which was hilarious to see - and now I'm sitting pretty at Level 57. Not very high when the game goes up to 200, but I don't have the patience to grind and I just want to explore, and its definitely helped. Playing as an Assassin, because ranged combat is definitely the way to go in this. I have Fire Emblem Warriors going on the side. The Hoshidan characters are all trash, and the Nohrian characters are all insanely fun to play with...which is fitting, considering how bad Birthright was and how good Conquest was. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of depth compared to Hyrule Warriors Legends - the characters are all too similar (and there are moveset clones as well, which is depressing) and the lack of variety in enemies is depressing - but the combat feels so much more polished and on balance I'm really enjoying it! I have a Skyrim file but its kinda stalled, although I WILL go back to it in bits and pieces because I was really enjoying it when I left off. I also now have Google Play on my Kindle Fire, which means Fire Emblem Heroes, Digimon Links, Final Fantasy Record Keeper and Brave Exvius, Love Live, and Tales of the Rays too. In small bursts every other day, because there are only so many hours in a day. Help.
I'm juggling Stardew Valley, Persona 5, and Pokémon Sapphire at the moment! I started up a new file on Stardew while I was waiting for Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires to install on the PS4 and now I've got to deal with the urge to build a tidy looking farm. Definitely distracting me from finishing Persona 5, I'm probably going to be chipping away at the plot for weeks before I finish it;;;
Ace Attorney 2 - Justice for All! Sure it might be the weakest entry in the series for some, but I find the game fun (as I do all the others), and it also is host to my favourite case in the series so far (2-4). I'm playing them through in order, and Rise from the Ashes took a lot less time than I thought it would.
Breath if the Wild’s DLC! (Champions’ Ballad) It’s super fun! Oh, and... Doki Doki Literature Club...
note: i am not playing them all at once lol some of them are on hold or i only play them on occasion, but i try to finish them all one by one. • Pokémon ultra moon • Pokémon black • pokepark 2 • fire emblem conquest • luminous arc • zelda breath of the wild
Finished Titanfall 2 already, and now I'm getting Drakengard 3 off my backlog. Restarted since I've completely forgotten what I was doing...all I do remember is that the final ending sequence is a hell I do not need to experience. I have the DLC too, so it might take me a while...especially since I go back to work tomorrow. Still playing Pokémon Yellow...grinding in this game is such a chore. Currently have 5 badges, caught Articuno this afternoon, and everyone else (Pikachu, Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, and Nidoking) is in their early 40s. Ideally I'd like to be mid/late 50s for the Elite 4, so that's...several hours. Urgh. Why did I start this up again, this game has aged terribly. On PC I'm currently playing eden* but I might drop it because its boring the hell out of me. Nothing about it is appealing...I had a lot more fun with Asphyxia, which I finished within a day because I just couldn't stop reading it...the characters resonated a little too well with me, which is definitely not a good thing considering the mental state of the protagonist and how abusive her friends were, but eh. Good reading is good reading. My poor neglected Switch sits gathering dust again. I really should get back to Skyrim.
Trying out a new game I was recommended: Hotel Dusk - Room 215. I'm still trying to get used to the style (while played on a DS, it is played with the system rotated 90 degrees), and the film noir storytelling is something a bit new, but I'll be in for a story. I'm already finding out that, though it's a visual novel game, it is definitely possible (and sometimes easy) to screw up and give the wrong answer, resulting in a Game Over. Thankfully the game is kind enough to allow a Retry to the point right before the mess-up.
currently im playing Pokémon UM (ofc) but aside from that im also playing and trying to beat fable 2&3. after that im not sure what ill play. but i play some elderscrolls nline on the Xbone and starbound on the PC. along with verious fighting games. oh and monster hunter! i love me some monster hunter.
Finishing off Drakengard 3 right now by going through the DLC...I knew I'd hate Five's. Five herself has no depth, and Dito is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Hate hate hate. Four is now officially the most terrifying Intoner, and Three is about what I expected. Really looking forward to playing Two's because she's my favourite of them, so yeah. Once I finish that I might move on to Battle Princess of Arcadias...I need something short to occupy me in the gap between now and Monster Hunter World, which - trophies pending - I will probably end up buying. That said, I haven't finished either FE Warriors or Skyrim. Handheld-wise I am trying to resist the urge to play FFIV and finish Ever Oasis first, but...it's not really keeping my attention all that well. It's a very simple game. Not that simple is bad, but I'm just not in the mood for THIS kind of simple right now. If I drop it I'll never go back to it though...but I think I'm about 2/3 of the way through. Oh, and I'm playing Torchlight on my laptop. I dropped eden* because it was extremely boring, and I blazed through Sweetest Monster the other day, which is now easily simultaneously the best and worst VN I've ever read. ebihime is definitely striking all the right notes with me with their work. Looking forward to the next one I read, which may or may not be Blackberry Honey.
In the middle of trying to get to level 9999 in Disgaea 5! Which I'm fairly sure involves beating a certain area of the post-game that I'm currently having struggles with. ... This involves reincarnating several of my characters several more times and training them up, which demonstrates how addicting this game is.
New games! So after finishing Ever Oasis and Drakengard 3 - and being very glad to see the back of both of them - I've started Final Fantasy IV on my PSP and Assassin's Creed Syndicate on PS4, which I totally forgot I had until last night. I've never played FFIV on PSP, and I've not played my PSP in years, so this is a refreshing experience for me...it's also definitely easier than I remember. I demolished the Octomammoth with minimal effort and now I'm on my way to Damcyan...I may or may not try for Bestiary completion whilst I go. AC Syndicate I bought because I was curious as to the setting...not many games set in the UK, after all. It's a little awkward to control (would prefer to jump myself rather than have it automated) and it doesn't make much sense plot-wise (I could do without that VR bullshit, it works about as well as it does in real life) but its intriguing enough for me to keep going with it, and I do love the general feel of it. It'll occupy me until Monster Hunter World comes out, at least. Should really play Torchlight some more too. My Switch is also gathering dust again...arrgh...
I'm currently playing Sonic Adventure DX on the Xbox 360. I'm trying to 100% complete the game, and I have about 110 emblems so far. Things were going smoothly until last night, when I tried my best to finish all of Big's missions. I couldn't get the 2000g fish to appear, which I need to complete the mission. An hour of trying and many screams later, I gave up and probably won't be able to bring myself to go back to that game anytime soon.
