I know, I relied a lot on Mienshao, to the point that I over leveled her for the Elite 4 & Diantha.
Both games I'm on the post-game, just exploring Kalos, catching all the Pokémon I missed. I skipped a lot of areas so I can explore them now.
90% of my games I spent it on Poemon Amie.

However, I think that, if a league starts up here and I join it, I'll let my challengers pick from any Dark-type that there is. It'll be at random, of course. I have index cards with Pokémon and move sets written on them. I think that'd be more fun that me using a set team lol

Before leaving to Oregon - I bought myself two new copies of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - I don't restart my games when I want to play a new team. Except for specific Challenges both Watchog & Mienshao cannot be missing.

My newest Y team I have not started, but have my team already planned out - this Pokémon X team will also be my Spanish team (I'm going to play X in my native language) - By time I get to Elite 4:
Delphox - Mienshao - Watchog - Vaporeon - Flareon - Barbaracle.
I was going to try out Froakie but it was just too embarrassing for me, so I had no choice to start over (not even in route 2) - never picking Froakie again.
Edit: My team turned out different than what I had planned - I stayed with a traditional team for me. The only Pokémon I'm trying out is Skuntank and (once Skitty evolves) Delcatty this time.
