What was the first Shiny you ever encountered?

My first non event shiny in all my years was actually a Riolu I was breeding in ORAS... Man I have bad luck.

Mine was a Marill followed later by a Numel on two different resets of my Pokémon Emerald. My most recent one was a WIshiwashi I got on Wonder Trade in Sun that I choose to keep for potential breeding purposes due to its IVs.

 

So just not long ago. I was fishing and caught a wishiwashi. I saw a typical color. Buy didnt see the shiny entry. So great ball. Typical getting caught. Quickly checking was it a normal wishiwashi dX

 

Obvious answer: Red Gyarados
1st random encounter: Sixth island, Dotted Hole pond in the water... Magikarp. A golden Magikarp. I forgot about the Red Gyarados and thought it evolved into a golden Gyarados.

 

Shiny Shinx! It took forever to find since I was using the PokeRadar chaining method in my Diamond version, but it was so worth it because of how adorable it is

 

Second playthrough of Silver, I found a shiny Onix in one of the caves. I can't remember if I caught it or not.

Since then, I've only found two others.

 

My first encounter was a Shiny Kecleon in Pokémon Ruby when I was 7. Pretty sure that I had killed it by accident (Multi-hit move). I did catch a Shiny Audino is Black a few months ago. Unfortunately, my battery corrupted right at the time I saved the file so, goodbye Shiny Audino. My most precious Shiny may be Shaymin, which I received from an event. It now moves to Alola and helps me go through the game with ease. I'm still trying to get a Shiny Shinx in Diamond (Pretty hopeless cuz I have been searching for it for years)

 

Been playing Pokémon for 12 years and still have never encountered a shiny besides the Red Gyarados in GSC ;w;

 

I encountered a shiny Bidoof in gen 2 that I accidentally ko-ed. Sigh.

 

Bidoof is from gen4 though

 

Oops. I did that in gen 4.

There was one in gen 2 I ko'ed. Now I can't recall which it was. One of the common ones.

 

Rockruff was my first Shiny I caught myself.

 

My little sister actually found my first shiny. She was playing my Pokémon Pearl game and called me over when she saw a discoloured Ponyta. Naturally, I flipped out and took extra care to weaken and catch it. I've never found another shiny since, but my sister found a shiny Gloom on her copy of Pokémon X.

 

It was shiny taurus, full odds and totally random in the wild, I have trouble remembering which game though it was before 3D graphics, probably HG/SS. I was so torn between joy at finally getting one and the fact that it's some serious highlighter yellow and neon green @ _ @ - I'm still weirded out that even though I don't believe in star signs it seems like quite a coincidence being that sign and that being the Pokémon I found.

 

Shiny gyarydos was my first but the next one after that was shiny magnemite. Still have it and man did I clone the heck out of it at the battle tower in emerald.

 

My first shiny I actually TRIED to obtain was a shiny Rowlet in Moon, Ga'hoole.

The first shiny I ever encountered was a shiny Tentacool, I thought my game was broken when I found it (I was 6 at the time)

My first caught shiny was a Shiny Lotad in Sapphire.

 

The first shiny I encountered was actually a Roselia I didn't know they existed so I was extremely confused and I believe that was in Pokémon Pearl. After that it was a Shiny snubull.

 

I've only had it happen once. I can remember it like it was yesterday...

Flashback to 2004, Pokémon Sapphire, and I was running around route 102 after Wally had caught his Ralts:

Bam! My friends didn't havy any. No one I knew had any. I would not have known what it was I was seeing if I hadn't already read the Official Nintendo Guide for Firered and Leafgreen, the page where they showed examples of 'shiny' Magikarp and Oddish (I can't even find a pdf anywhere online so you just gotta believe me). I was lucky enough to catch it, and kept it in my party all the way to the Victory Road. He was fainting to everything in there, so I swapped him for a Claydol.

So I may be a bit biased when I think shiny Dustox is pretty rad.

I came across a shiny furfrou and it scared me because it was black and I was like what the heck is wrong with this Pokémon, and then I realized it was a shiny, I deleted my game though, I didn't know you could save your Pokémon with Pokémon bank, I just wanted to play Pokémon X again, I regret my choice every single day lol
