Mega Evolutions, Primal Reversions, Z-Moves and Dynamaxes/Gigantamaxes have been gimmicks introduced in Generations VI, VII and VIII. But sadly, they didn't appear in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the games, thus far. So, I wonder why you think these gimmicks didn't?

the Megas/Primals were all right, but to be honest I don't mind that they aren't in the Sinnoh remakes. The only real disappointment is the lack of a Primal Dialga to match the mystery dungeon one.

Because the games were designed to be faithful remakes of Diamond and Pearl, which didn't have any of those features. The fact that they even included the Fairy type is actually a little surprising.
