So, Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee. Those were some pretty wild games, huh? Coming out when Pokémon GO was a far more relevant entity in the gaming zeitgeist, it gave the world yet another way to play through the events of the Kanto games while simplifying the formula down for new players to get into while still leaving some level of challenge for the veteran players who still sought it out.

Still, it must be asked all these years later (it was a game released in 2018, after all), did anyone who played it find actual enjoyment in the game looking back, now that we live in a world with plenty of other options on the Switch alone? And for those who haven't played it, would you want to with the state of the franchise in this day and age? I'd genuinely like to hear what people think about TPC's earliest child on the Switch, especially with projects like Legends Z-A coming soon in the future.

Let's Go is easily my least favorite game in the franchise. It was a struggle just to make myself finish the story and complete the Pokédex, and I only did that so that I'd have the Let's Go 'dex filled in HOME. I have never, and hopefully will never again, had less fun with a Pokémon game.

the graphics were really, legitimately pretty, but it probably speaks for itself that the only reason i've ever finished the game was because of a challenge where i had to complete one nuzlocke per region (my original save sits unfinished still)

I still have it on my wishlist, if it ever goes on sale, but I didn't have a switch when it first dropped. While Kanto isn't my favorite region, I wouldn't mind trying the let's go format of it. Despite how much I love Scarlet and Violet, I do have a soft spot for the top down grid. It's my favorite part of brilliant diamond, even if my nuzlocke is still stalled at iron island.

Very close opinion to Gwoomy. I like the look and feel of the game (the lightning and colors especially) but I don't like the changed mechanics and honestly I am not a big fan of the traversal flow of Kanto generally. I did like the different partner interactions like riding and generally interacting with your team.
