So, after I forgot that school was on an hour delay, I ended up having to break into my own home. I don't carry a key on me, so I couldn't get in through my door, and I just so happen to have dogs. Said dogs go outside through a doggie door. Yep, I climbed through a doggie door to go back inside. Thank Arceus I'm a half pint brat~ So, anyone else got a little adventure from getting locked out of their home?
I had to break into my own bathroom once, put a push pin into a locked backroom door, whirled it around and unlocked it. It worked for a while until we got new doors. It was a jack and jill and my sister locked me out a lot
I didn't really break in, I asked the manager of the building to let me in when I forgot my key lols >_>
had to get my neighbor to break the door down with a crowbar once... locked the garage with 3 dogs locked inside and my house keys fun times door frame's still broke slightly with a ton of dents..
I don't have one for myself (I carry my keys around everywhere), but I do have a story for this of what happened to a friend of mine. A friend of mine was asked to house-sit for a family while they were off on vacation, so while they were gone, he invited us all over for a movie night there. (Don't worry - we're all adults.) He had left the house key somewhere - either inside that house, back at his own house, or somewhere. So he does the most insane thing I've ever seen. He goes to the house next door (where he was staying), goes upstairs to his own room, climbs out the window onto the roof, goes over to the fence between the two houses, jumps into the air across to the other roof, tries to get in via the upstairs window (it was unlocked), into a child's bedroom, and then came downstairs and unlocked the house from the inside. It was the most convoluted and hilarious way to start a movie night I've ever seen in my life - and I may never see anything like that again.
Honestly, when I was stuck outside the house, I had to sit in the Australian heat in the dirt for several hours till someone came home because mobile phones werent common then and I live in the middle of actual no where bush land so I couldn't even get my neighbours who dropped me off to help, they were already far gone haha the only real issue with that is the cockatoos scream so loudly and for so long it felt like my head was going to bleed out through my ears XD
This was actually fairly recent! So I had just gotten off the bus, walking home when I realized I didn't have my key. Well crap. So I decided to try and see if the back door was unlocked (we have a fence with no gate). It was, so I got on top of the air conditioner unit and went over the fence. And I open the door, and go into my lovely home (and now my mom is eternally mad at me for that )
I once tried and failed to break into my own house. So my sister and I got home, but the spare key wasn't where it was supposed to be and nobody was home to let us in. We had no idea when anybody was going to get home and the last thing we wanted to do was be stuck outside for hours. First, my sister tried to crawl through the doggie door but she couldn't fit. I was beginning to grow desperate by then and hoped that maybe somebody had left the balcony door unlocked. So ignoring my sister's protests, I got a ladder out of the garage and used it to climb up onto the balcony. As you probably guessed, the door was unlocked and we were forced to wait until Mum came home. Fortunately, she came back a lot sooner than we'd expected.
THis happened when I was in seventh grade so about 2002-2003. It was spring time and everyone forgot their house key; me, my older brother, and my older sister. So my sister decides it would be smart to take the screen out of my bedroom window on the first floor and try to force the window open. She messes up the screen and can't get it open. She then tries her room but the window is too high. All the other windows and door are locked but we have an access way in the garage that leads to the master closet in my parents bedroom. So what does she do? Against what my parents tell her, she has me and my brother hold the ladder why she climbs up and ends up punching a hole in the ceiling in the master closet. She unlocks the door and ends up getting into trouble because she disobeyed and did damage while risking injury. Funny thing is if she would have just waited another half an hour my dad would have let us in.
