@122 Generation "You may have better luck asking around the inn or the tavern." the smithy replied. "The elder left strict instructions not to tell anyone where he and his son are hiding. Only a few know where they are."
"Okay. Thanks." Maria said, and then she departed with Evergreen. They walked together through the town. At least there is word on the street that the elder and his son are alive, Evergreen said.
(Peri's just planning to go with someone else just in case anyone not-so-friendly shows up. He doesn't trust himself to do the talking.)
@Tala "Are you sure?" Misty asked. "The lady could very well have spies listening outside of town..."
"Hmm... an elder that would be banished from the town would be isolated..." Lunti thought. '...Maybe to a forest, but if one really wants to put someone in exile they would be in an island or...' Bagsik added. "A mountain!' the two exclaimed in unison. "Umm mamsir, do you know any dangerous mountains? Me and my Treecko would want to hike up one~" Lunti asked a random person, making a story to avoid suspicion. (mamsir can be used for both sexes; and this is just Lunti and Bagsik's deduction; they could be wrong)
@Jupjami (Luckily, this lady is not a spy!) "What would possess you to try climbing a dangerous mountain?" the lady was curious. "You don't do that unless you know what you are doing."
@WavePearl @ChocoChicken (Want to assume Peri tagged along with Maria and Evergreen?) Maria and Evergreen soon found what looked like an inn. As the blacksmith said, there was a good chance they might get some information here. That reminded Evergreen, what were the others doing? Mel probably was hunting around - although she doubted Mel knew exactly what to do. Farrah and Peri... She had no clue. And then there was Lunti. He was probably searching beneath rocks or something. And then there was Brock, who could probably deduce what to do in minutes.
@122 Generation (that works--you did find the local inn. There are no spies there, so you can safely ask around)
"Mo worry sister. I have Pachi with me. And Pachi is level 5. So super strong" she waved her arms around and pachirisu made her tiny arms look like muscles
@Tala Misty had to admit that Mel and Pachi looked cute. "Okay...but I'll be nearby if you need help." she explained. "Be on your guard about who you talk to--the lady's spies can be anywhere."
Maria was clearly a lot shorter than the innkeeper such that she felt like she was towered. Still, she wore a bright smile. "Okay, friend. I'm here on behalf of a certain fuemusou named Brock. We hear there is trouble brewing around here and... uh..." She looked to Evergreen, as if wanting help. We would like to know where the elder has gone. The Gardevoir finished the sentence.
@122 Generation "He went into hiding some months ago, not long before Lady Blackburn took over the town for herself." the innkeeper explained. "She was obsessed with finding him and his son for a while, then gave up on them and is now focusing on that dumb statue she wants." "She has a bit of a one track mind." a kitchen maid agreed.
(@122 Generation Sure, Peri can tag along.) Statue... Peri thought for a moment, checking around to see if anyone was spying. He relaxed when he saw nobody around, but still held on to his bow.
"Well, me and my amigo here want a little risk, you know, adventure~" Lunti said excitedly, Bagsik nodding too.
@Jupjami "Well, just because you can go on an adventure doesn't always mean you should." the lady warned. "It's well worth it to get training for such an expedition."
