"Bravo team is to do a patrol while Alpha team remains as back-up. We've been hearing reports that the Empire has been attacking some of our patrols on the border and I don't want my men to be one of them that gets attacked without support nearby," ordered the Commander. "Yes, sir," the soldiers all chanted. They quickly got into their respective zoids and split into their teams. Scarlet watched silently. The commander came up to her. "Scarlet, I want you to join up with Alpha team, They are fresh recruits and it would make me feel better if they also had an older and more experienced soldier with them." "Yes, sir. It will be done," said Scarlet as she saluted and started running over to her Lightning Sax. @Arod
In a crowd of new recruits stood the tallest fo them all. He was big and stocky but he looked like he packed quite a wallop behind his frame. He stood up tall with cod dience but in his mind, he was nervous as all heck. He had never really been in a place like this. He just signed up without a second thought. The inky thing that gave him some comfort was a straw cowboy he had with him.
Scarlet remained in the back of the unit and followed silently, waiting for anything to happen. With the way that these recruits were moving, she could tell that at least some of them were nervous, but she found it comforting that they were allowed to pilot Command Wolves since usually new recruits were given Godos which is simpler to pilot. "They should at least know a thing or two," Scarlet thought to herself. "But only time will tell."
“Hello...” he muttered to the woman, nervously. He didn’t really know how to introduce himself to his leader. He just didn’t want to be hated so that this whole thing could be somewhat bearable.
Scarlet thought that she heard something in comms but decided to think nothing of it. "Bravo team, what's your current status?" Scarlet asked over comms to break the silence. There was no response.
There seemed to be some static in the response. "Hmm...Leading Command Wolf, do you have eyes on Bravo team?" Scarlet asked. "No, sir." "Let's position ourselves to where we can see them," ordered Scarlet as she guided her Lightning Sax away from the main group.
“Soo........ what do we do?” Bronze asked awkwardly over the com. “Are you gonna give us orders to meet up or are we splitting up?”
"We're going to meet up," replied Scarlet plainly. "And with the tensions between the Empire and the Republic going the way they are, we can't take any chances."
Scarlet rolled her eyes and marched her Sax forward until she was able to clearly see the other patrol. "No use trying to take them seriously until they survive their first battle," whispered Scarlet to herself.
