Group RP Pokemon: Evolution Quest (IC thread)

"Can you send this to the--" Blacky took his letter out and passed it to the postmaster. He was about to mention the orphanage's address only to mentally remind himself that the recipient might not be home yet. "I mean, a Jolteon knight named Josson, please? I think he's somewhere east from here," he added, still not sure about his master's whereabouts.

 

With that out of the way, Blacky thanked the postmaster. Any outsiders might wonder how the postmaster actually knew the recipients of various messages coming and going through the postal system, but if this concept called "regular customer" is a thing here, that should be an explanation in itself, right?

Blacky then went to the local adventurers' guild for a quest report. It should be open anytime now.

 

It took Blacky awhile to find the guildmistress (Alolan Ninetales, right?) and even then, a queue was already formed on the questing side. So now he's waiting...

 

"Good day, ma'am. I'm done with the Calyrex quest," Blacky passed the job request back to the guildmistress. He also had the special aquamarine -- the one for the legendary Sword of the Stars -- in a paw in case he needed to give her more proof.

 

(Iirc we didn't, but I can think of some:

• Brynhildr, a nature-earth (like, grass/bug type) tome with a little dark spin
  • That dark bit might as well be luna if used by a good-sided tome user
• A scroll containing Aurora Veil
• Icebrand, an ice-elemental sword with its blade made of Never-Melt Ice

While Atelier was about walking through town, he smiled at the many faces he saw who were tuning in to the news to the Dragon King's demise. Seemed that the Pelipper were really hard at work at spreading news.

He went in search of a shop that could repair his tomes.

 

(Sure. I'll probably save Brynhildr for the Shadow lair anyway.)

 

(Archmage? You mean, guildmistress?)

So this was like in Piquedilly guild, eh? The treasure vault part, I mean. It made Blacky wonder if other adventurers' guilds, including the Expedition Society, had their own treasure vaults for stuff like this. Oh well, that's a thought for another time. For now, reward time.

Well, she could rest now. Even forever, just not quite yet.
The others had mentioned this Isle of Armor, didn't they? She stuffed her novel back in her satchel, and began to roam the streets, ears open for any word of it - or any way of travel. From what had sounded, they needed to figure out a way over, so that was her goal.

 

(Atelier is visiting the archmage, not the guild)

So Atelier ended up visiting the local archmage. There was a lineup, so to pass the time as he waited in the queue, he took out one of his novels and continued to read from where he left off. It felt strangely relaxing to be reading like this, after a hard day's work at fighting the Dragon King. Seemed like he deserved this.

 

(And Blacky is visiting the guild, hence him meeting the guildmistress instead of the archmage.)

On the way to the treasure vault, Blacky was reminded of the gang's current predicament. If they were to go to the Isle of Armor, they would need a transportation of sorts to get there. Lapras sounded viable, yes, but the closest Lapras Travel Liner from Ludester was located at the beachfront near Spikeford. The Corviknight Taxis, on the other hand, were available in towns. Blacky had already seen those throughout the journey, but the thought of using their service had never crossed his mind.

"Uh, ma'am, do we have a Corviknight Taxi around here?" he asked the guildmistress just to be sure.
