I'm in class, i'm bored. so imma start a mini series of LV's unused features and what they do. The Follow Button So, for years. LV has had a feature that no one uses, cause it's *why?* , if you aren't aware when looking at a profile, you can see if someone is following you, I'm sure for all of us it says "*Name is not following you*" Imma use my evil twin for an example "Link1 is not following you" will appear if I look at that dreaded account. I used it back in the day , before well. pffy.vgda happened. If you followed a user, say Link1, any time Link1 were to post something, say to How high can you count before a staff member posts. YOU would get notified, even if you've never posted to HHCyCBaSMP. This can flood your inbox if you so pleased. Besides that, it really doesn't have any use. Hell i'm not even sure if you can see who's following you outside the settings . . . Would this be a tool that you'd hope to be improved, or just removed?
You could tweak it so you only followed specific content from that person, such as writing, art, or RP posts.
Very true, I think I have 2 maybe 3 people I follow (Gwoomy and Rebecca being the main 2 I think. Vig might be the other one lol) but that was early on. It is now in my notes though I do want to get a website designer to have a look at the site at some point to fix some things and change others.
I only follow a couple people. Honestly, even if I followed all the staff and other fellow members and if I get notified, it won't really be of use cause I'd only check threads I'm interested in and those I wanna stay fully updated with. I most likely won't check others. So even if this feature was to disappear suddenly, I don't think I'd notice.
I guess another thing would be to see if they made any new threads? Although the new thread thing on the left is usually enough to cover all new threads over a long period of time, since we aren't really flooding the site with em that we'll need to track people.
I only follow people who follow me, and that's like 3 people. Tbh I didn't know it did anything, I thought it was only there just for show.
I wouldn't say it's unused but I only ever followed like 4 people and they are long gone from the site.
