I actually can't remember too well, but pretty sure it was Squirtle in Blue. Back then I felt like I had to get the mascot of the game (seen on the box art) in order for it to be a 'proper' playthrough haha. Otherwise it felt very wrong. Love Squirtle. <3
Chimchar in Platinum. It was hard for me to choose because all three of the starters were cute but I thought fire was a pretty cool type, so I chose Chimchar. Infernape is still one of my favorite starter evolutions.
*Thinking commences, suddenly stopping* Chikorita in Soul Silver. It would have been Cyndaquil had I not loved the adorable little leafy-bud beforehand. I've stopped using it since then, but it's still adorable.
errr should have been squirtle in blue... Owning the box Pokémon just felt like the right thing to do haha, otherwise it didn't seem like I was playing the game correctly :droplet:
Snivy in Black. Never gave him a nickname but I love that green boi. I battled with him all the time, I took him to the Pokémon Musicals and dressed him up (he must’ve gotten real tired of that because I would do like... twenty of those in one day) and he was still on my team when I took him to the Champion. Snivy sparked my love for grass types and I’m always going to keep my saved file of Black.
