1x1 Pokemon: Jewels of the Aether - On the Run (Tala x 1:22)

Evergreen blushed, but she was feeling too sick. [Hey! You wouldn't understand. You can't blame the gummies. There has to be another reason.]

Evening fell on the waters. The view of he sunset was just to the ship's side.

 

[Oh. Right... Forgot about that.] Evergreen sat herself up and went below deck for food too. Still, Belle followed her just in case of something went wrong, and she waved at Ian to do the same. The SBC ship was pretty big.

 

Maria followed Seline's gaze. "Eh... what do you...? Oh! Wow! Look at that!"

In the distance, against the sunset, a group of Mantyke and Mantine decorated the ocean waters. Because the waters were calm, it made the sight look absolutely majestic, like the Pokémon were leaping along with the flow of the waves. Seeing them sent some shivers on Maria's skin: it was strangely comforting.

"Maybe they'll join us for the trip." Maria remarked, as she rubbed Ian's head.

Meanwhile, below the deck, Evergreen, Hao, and Azelia had gathered at a table in the ship's galley. Unfortunately, Evergreen was not feeling well and she had her head rested on the table to support herself. The cook aboard the galley was preparing a large number of pies for dinner, and in many flavours.

[Ugh... This trip is going to take forever...] the Gardevoir whined, and almost squished Azelia in the process.

 

[Is something the matter, Hao?] Evergreen said.

[He's probably just hungry. Hey, Evergreen! You should get some food for us! We're all too short.] Belle squeaked. Having said that, Evergreen sighed and got up from the table despite not wanting to. She was still seasick.

 

[Oh... Okay...] Evergreen went to get a tray of pies for the group. She wasn't sure what Azelia, Belle, or Hao liked to eat, but she played it safe and went for sweet and spicy berry pies. Unfortunately for Evergreen, just the sight of seeing spicy pies made her stomach feel worse.

She sat down and collapsed on the table again.

[Evergreen! You can't sleep now. It's not even midnight!] Belle squeaked. She helped cut the pies into slices so she and the others could enjoy some.

 

Even Belle was feeling good about herself as she ate her share of pies. As she ate, Evergreen continued to groan on the table. She wasn't hungry.

Meanwhile, the moonlight shimmered above the SBC ship as it continued its voyage towards Fayan.

 

[They should be coming down, right? Say, Evergreen, why don't you go get them?] Belle squeaked.

[I can't...] Evergreen replied. She looked like she was sweating.

Above the deck, Maria approached her cousin and his newlywed. "Well? You could stay here all you want, but I'm going to go grab dinner." She sat down beside Leon and poked his cheek.

 

"Aw... Sir Typhlosion has left you out in the cold..." Maria said. She was happy she had kept her oversized cloak with her and kept poking Leon's cheek. "You need to eat, buddies!"

She stood up and followed Ian to below deck, and by then Leon had been stirred awake. "What..? Maria?"

 

Leon looked carefully at Michelle and put his cloak around her to keep her warm. "At this rate, we won't be needing dinner."

Maria found Hao and Belle having already eaten, and perhaps Azelia and Seline too. But she noticed that Evergreen was looking awful!

"Evergreen! What's happened to you?" she said.

 

Leon stood up too. "Hey, that's not fair, that you get to keep my cloak." He followed Michelle to below deck and got a table near Maria.

But Maria was astonished. "I have a bad feeling about this. How can Evergreen be not feeling good? She's strong."

You wouldn't understand! The Gardevoir complained.
